Mudd Brothers Inc
In the eight years after I contracted with Brad Zieman and Mudd brothers for extensive remodel work, I have had to have many of jobs done over. My kitchen floor was tiled and the tiles cracked and the grout crumbled. The remodel of my kitchen created a sag in the ceiling because the support for the roof was not properly done. The wood floors installed have shrunk and left gaps between boards. The replacement of the wall around my property has cracked. We are still cleaning up cement that was dumped in the yard. The wall was never completed. There are more complaints but you get the idea. This was my first experience with a contractor and I learned so much about what not to do. I especially learned not to count on one company to do all the work. In total, I paid over $40,000.00 to this company and have paid over $10,000.00 so far to correct the work done by this company Kaylene Gchachu

Villa's Roofing
The company did a good job on our roof and solved our problem. We had our roof re-done and the material used made the house much cooler during these hot days. We appreciate Villa's Roofing recommendation in using this new material.

Custom Roofing Corp
They did an outstanding job of replacing the roof on my house after hail damage. It was easy to contact them. They came to do the roofing when scheduled. They worked every day. The work was of the highest quality. They did an excellent cleanup of the roof and yard when finished. Their price was reasonable. I would highly recommend them.

They came out and replaced my skylights during spring. I was happy thought my issue was fixed. My skylights were leaking into my ceiling. He came out gave me an estimate same day, I approved and about a week later his crew came and did the job. Next time it rained no leak!! Yay right? Well winter came and suddenly my skylights were dripping water off of them like crazy. I have lived in my house 9 years never had that problem. Condensation I think it got really cold and became worse. Again never happened in 9 years. I have called them several times was told they will be out to look at them today then it was tomorrow now they won't even take or return my calls. Horrible service!! Not only that I literally had to call 15 different times to make the payment after the job was complete, no response I had to mail a check myself with a letter explaining what is was for. I received a letter 2 weeks later apologizing and how sorry they were. Granted my check cleared my account 12 days earlier than the letter was dated! I should have kept my money and ignored their calls when they eventually tried to collect. Don't use this company!

Oscar's Roofing
Hey...if you want problems and excuses. Go for it. You'll have a hand full with this company. Actually this is not even a company. They don't even carry a license, insurance or anything. We got a leak from our new roof. Damaged the drywall. They wouldn't pay for the damage...better yet they didn't even return our calls. This guy is a joke. BEWARE!!!!!!! Oh---by the way...they don't even deserve one star.

First. Showed up late to give estimate on roof leak.Second. Said he would be back the following day to look again with another employee and would call me with the estimate. No calls.Third. I called couple days later and was told he would drop off the estimate. Did not drop off the estimate.Fourth. The following week I called back and was told they would email or fax my estimate. Still waiting.

Harmony Enterprises
Keith MacDuffee offered ideas for repairing my driveway and exterior stucco walls that were much less expensive solutions than those offered by two other contractors. One vendor proposed replacing a concrete walkway (at a cost of $3k) to drain away pooling water on the side of my house. Keith suggested gutters and rain barrels for an environmentally friendly and FAR less costly solution. Another vendor wanted to resurface my cracked driveway, but Keith informed me that that $1k option would last for maybe 2 years, and he proposed a cheaper way to clean up the area. He has a lot of experience to draw upon, and it showed.

K-Ram Roofing and his incredible crew have come through for me yet again.  Stellar, professional, excellent work and thoughtful problem solving for a tricky design flaw on our roof. Because of their excellent work they are busy so plan ahead to get the best.
Tips & Advices
The most common types of roofing material are:
  • Asphalt shingles
  • Metal roofing
  • Slate shingles
  • Concrete roofing
Metal roofing material and algae-resistant asphalt shingles are the appropriate roofing material for rainy climates.
Houses located in  areas which are prone to wildfires, should avoid the use of flammable roofing materials such as wood shingles.
Not only should you ask to get in contact with past clients, it is also recommended that  homeowners visit projects currently underway to see how the contractor or company actually performs during a job. You can also go online and check out other customer reviews.
Reputable roofers do offer a warranty against poor workmanship. Additionally, the material used often carries a warranty from the manufacturer against defects (assuming proper installation). It is the homeowner’s responsibility to check on the availability of all such warranties before any work is performed.
