Western Assurance
I bought insurance for 2 triplexes. Problem was only 1 unit was listed on policy. Asked for correction and was assured none was needed. Went to refinance and the bank would not accept coverage as documented. The bank and I both requested a correction and after 4 attempts they finally got the addresses corrected. Only took 3 months. The billing was then messed up and I received a check for over $2000.00 I thought I had been canceled and I called again and they stated that my insurance had not been canceled and I brought back the check and gave it to them the asking them for a updated statement which they as a broker could not provide and informed me to request that from Allied Insurance directly. After I thought it could not get any worse they sent me a non renewal notice along with a statement saying they would not consider finding me another policy. The price was no bargain at a price of over $3600.00 annually. Be very careful dealing with them! I made over 8 trips in the past year which cost both time and MONEY.

Very unprofessional, communication is terrible. Good luck even getting someone on the phone. Please save yourself the hassle and get insurance elsewhere.

National Insurance Centers
Worst insurance company in the state of New Mexico. They failed to take money off of the right card that was provided to them. Therefore my insurance expired at 12:01 am without my knowledge. On 5/18 . Just my lucky day. I got into an accident at 11:26pm on 5/17 and because I called police at 12:09 am they didn't pay for my car.. this is after the fact that THEY HAD ME GET A RENTAL CAR! PUT MY CAR IN THE SHOP. THEN AFTER THEY FOUND OUT IT WAS GOING TO BE MORE THEY DECIDED I SHOULD GO GET MY CAR. IT WAS ALL TAKEN APART AND NOW IS BEING DRIVEN AROUND WITH WIRES HOLDING IT TOGETHER. I HAVE 4 KIDS I DRIVE IN THAT CAR. JULIE IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND FAILED TO ADMIT TO BEING WRONG! HAD SHE ADMITTED BEING WRONG MY CAR WOULD BE FIXED!

Farmers Insurance
This was the worst experience I have ever encountered with an insurance company. Shane's initial quote was only valid for the first month before I began receiving letters from an insurance agency he found for me that increased the policy due to documents he never submitted to them. Due to his negligence my premium doubled. Shane never returned any of my calls, or emails. Tried calling the office and the other agents were little to no help at all. This agent was quick to take my money with no intentions of providing good customer service!!!! I highly recommend anyone else!!!

GEICO Insurance Agent
This agency is issuing illegal policies without clients knowledge or consent. When confronted Jay continued to try to "sell me" the illegal policy with stolen info from previous owner of this agency. Currently under investigation by NM Superintendent of Insurance. Geico has reprimanded them. Also the five star review Shawna S is an agent there. Google reviews will confirm this fact. BEWARE!!!

GEICO Insurance Agent
Had a Geico employee roll his window down and hit my mirror because he was trying to merger into traffic and felt I wasn't letting him in. Followed him for a bit to get some info, license plate, and possibly insurance info since I wasn't sure if he damaged my car. Luckily he pulled over and got out in an aggressive manner and I was able to see his face for future ID if needed. Not very smart to act this way on the road in your Geico vehicle! Already have corporate office looking into the situation. Enjoy unemployment!
Tips & Advices
There are many different providers and plan types, so  shopping for life insurance can be complicated. The first step involves understanding the type and amount of life insurance you need. From there, use online tools or contact local insurance agents to get quotes on rates and learn about how to apply.
The cost of a life insurance policy is determined by two things: the guaranteed benefit amount and the individual risk of the policyholder. The latter is more complicated, and includes many  factors, including health, age, and  occupation. As of May 2017, a 30-year-old woman purchasing a 20-year, $250,000 term life policy can expect to pay about $141 per year. For comparison, a 60-year-old woman purchasing the same policy can expect to pay $1,033 per year. Since women have longer life expectancy on average than men, the latter can expect to pay slightly more. The same 20-year, $250,000 term policy will cost a 30-year-old man $156 per year on average.
Certain specialized policies may provide income replacement in the event of disability, disease, or another situation where it may be impossible to work and medical expenses are high. One common alternative is known as an “accidental death and dismemberment” policy. AD&D policies work similarly to term life plans, but will only pay out death benefits when a fatality is caused by an accident, or if the policyholder loses a limb or the ability to see or hear. Death from a heart attack or cancer, for example, is usually not covered by AD&D, but these policies might offer lower premiums than a standard term plan.
Many adults with children choose to buy a term life plan that covers them from the birth of a child until they turn 18, which is often the most cost-effective way to insure against the risk of income loss from unexpected death. While it  is possible to save enough cash or invest to provide even more funds in case of such an emergency, investing is subject to more risk of loss than a life insurance plan, and accumulating enough savings to provide a sizeable safety net can be difficult.
Whole life and universal life plans are each considered a type of “permanent life insurance.” Universal life is often similar in concept to whole life, but offers more flexibility in premium payments and cash withdrawals. For example, you might be able to temporarily pause or reduce premium payments at any time under a universal policy. It’s also often possible to borrow from what you’ve already paid into the plan or against a guaranteed death benefit in the form of a loan.
