I would highly recommend Karole Kohl, no other attorney would take my case at tribal court. On the day of the hearing, she returned my call, we met the day of the hearing, I gave her the details, and Ms. Kohl was very professional, accurate on all the details that I had just told her, very caring and understanding to my case and to my son's needs. Her bills have been on time, and she forwarded all information by scanning and emailing to me right away. She is very organized. I was naive and she taught me the proper way to behave and dress for the hearing and address the court appropriately. I was verge of losing my son, wasn't getting the visitation that I was suppose to have, Ms. Kohl addressed all situations, and they were corrected immediately at the first hearing including a DV being dismissed. Ms. Kohl is not only trying be a lawyer for me but she tried to look out for what is best for my son who is almost 8 years old. If you have a custody case, I would strongly recommend Ms. Kohl, she will help for what is best for your children. Provided by: ajp1988ajp0923@gmail.com

When I received a phone call from my niece informing me that my cousin had been placed in a psychiatric ward at a hospital in Albuquerque, N.M., I had no idea what to do. Living in Louisiana, I had no knowledge of what legal steps I should take to assist my cousin. Fortunately for me, someone gave me the name of Karole Kohl, Attorney at Law. I made contact with Karole and with her help, I was able to get my cousin removed from the hospital and placed in a very nice assisted living residence. In addition, with the legal help of Karole, I was able to have my cousin's Guardian removed and another individual appointed as Guardian and Conservator. As a result, all of my cousin's legal affairs were handled in a professional manner. Thanks to Karole, my cousin was able to live the remainder of her life in peace.

Karole Kohl represented me in my recent divorce. She's one tough cookie who was focused and determined to make the marital settlement agreement and divorce decree fool proof. She was expedient in arranging and wording all legal documents in order to cover all necessary grounds. My divorce also involved settling military pay, and she spoke with the personnel at Defense Finance and Accounting to ensure I would be taken care of. Her technological skills allowed my divorce to be filed expeditiously. She kept me informed of the various stages in the proceedings. Her meticulousness and diligence allowed my divorce to be completed in a matter of two weeks. If you want an excellent divorce attorney, I highly recommend Karole Kohl Law!

I highly recommend Karole Kohl. Karole is very detailed-oriented and hard working attorney. She answered my questions and returned my phone calls immediately. Karole was familiar with my case at all times and always kept me informed of what I needed to do and what the next step was. I always felt I was in good care, and because of her hard work, I was able to move back home to my family with my child. I am very grateful for all her time and energy she put towards my case!

Tips & Advices
Each state has different mandates on how child support is determined. But there are some basic factors that underline how costs are determined in each state, including:
  • Income level of parent that needs to pay support (in the case of joint custody, the costs are determined by income of each party and the percentage of time the child spends with each parent)
  • Financial needs of child
  • Child’s standard of living before the divorce occurred
This is a divorce in which one party does not have to prove that the other’s actions lead to a deterioration of the marriage. The reason for divorce is listed as "irreconcilable differences" or an "irreparable breakdown of the marriage,” meaning the marriage was no longer working and could not be repaired.
Family law attorneys are helpful in cases where the two parties are not on amicable terms. The lawyers can act as intermediaries between the two parties and help them come to any settlement agreements, however long that may take. Lawyers can also help parties navigate tricky state laws regarding settlement agreements and child custody, thus expediting the process.
A contested divorce is one in which the parties cannot agree on either the necessity of the divorce as a whole, or how assets (money, property, etc.) and child custody should be split between them in the divorce. An uncontested divorce is when the parties are in agreement on how assets and child custody will be split between them. These divorces can sometimes be handled without hiring a lawyer.
It is possible for a couple to get a divorce without hiring a family law attorney. If the two parties are in agreement on how finances, child custody, properties, etc., will be split, then they can file the necessary court documents themselves and avoid the services of a lawyer.
