Western Dermatology Consultants
I have never had such a hard time getting in touch with a medical office before. I have been trying to get a hold of them for 3 weeks and when they finally called me back they didn't even have the right info or answer to my question. They said they would call me back later that day and that was 2 days ago. Nice people, short wait in office but not worth it if they don't car enough to answer your calls in the office. Not the first time either. Last year I tried to get a hold of them and it took at least 4 weeks to finally get my prescription sent to the pharmacy.

The worst physician I have encountered. It took months to get an appointment and when I did Dr. Reddy was not helpful, spent less than five minutes with me (after I waited to see her for over an hour), and had no bedside manner -- she acted inconvenienced by my appointment. Additionally, I was overcharged. When I spoke with Chris, their office manager, she was equally discourteous and unhelpful.I WOULD NEVER GO BACK!

These doctors delegate too many procedures to nurses and technicians who seem dismissive, condescending and downright rude. One of these nurses/technicians attempted to cut away a skin tag off my face without even disinfecting the area first. I wanted to slip off my shoes to be more comfortable during the procedure -- and the nurse had a fit! It wasn't like I wanted to walk around the office in my bare feet -- I just wanted to get more comfortable before the procedure! I have never been made to feel more unwelcome. I will never go back.

Was seen by Sarah Mills. Had to wait an hour before seeing her. She told me my 5 year old had melanoma, which freaked me out and continued to freak me out for 2 long weeks until I received a call saying it was completely benign. I will also add that I had to keep calling every day to get the results since they told me it would only take 2 days for results. Now, the worst part of this entire experience is the scar is not fading properly and my child has to be seen by a surgeon to fix the dermatologist's awful job!!!

Dr is very friendly and competent. Explains things very well and treats you as a person not one of the cattle in the herd. He is very caring and a good listener.GMT
Tips & Advices
Cosmetic dermatology is a specialization of the field, which focuses on a person's appearance.
See a dermatologist if you have recurring problems with your skin, hair, nails or mucous membranes, or for any concerns about cosmetic appearance. Medicare patients will likely pay 20 percent of the Medicare-approved amount if the health care provider covers dermatology for a medical skin condition.
Dermatology tends to be covered by insurance if it is deemed a "medical necessity." The amount of coverage and cost depends on the specific health plan.
There is such a thing as a pediatric dermatologist--medical professionals who treat children from birth through adolescence - usually for skin conditions most common in younger patients. Regular dermatologists can also work with children of various ages.
Dermatologists can perform biopsies, dermabrasion, hair removal, laser surgery, cosmetic injections (like Botox), Mohs surgery for skin cancer, skin grafts, vein therapy, and chemical peels, to name a few.
