This is probably the best New Mexico-style eatery in the greater Albuquerque area.\r The atmosphere is amazing. But more than that, the food here is absolutely great. I love their Chile Rellenos. Just pour over their green chile sauce over the Chile Relleno and the taste is heavenly.\r

After reading these reviews i am extremely disgusted. I am a local New Mexican and have been eating at La Placita for over 20 years. My parents and grand parents started this family tradition. I have personally been present during similar complaints as stated in previous reviews. Please understand people, if you are not used to new mexican chili it can cause extreme bowel movements, as is typical with any other new mexican restaurant in albuquerque. I have contacted the proper authorities in Albuquerque and found that since its opening in 1931, La Placita has never been shut down due to health code violations. La Placita is one of the oldest restaurants in Albuquerque, which speaks for itself. If it were as horrible as these tourists make it sound, i highly doubt they would still be open. As a true New Mexican iI highly suggest La Placita as one of the top restaurants in the city. Taking into account the food, the ambiance, the service, and the history, this restaurant is hard to beat. Decide for yourself, but I would definately recommend this restaurant as one of the best restaurants in the city. Please post any comments whether you agree or disagree with this posting.

While on the course this morning we had the worse golfing experience either one of us has ever had. My wife and I are new to the sport so we play as fast as we can but we don't hit 250+ on every stroke. Your marshal stalked us for the entire first 4 holes. One the first hole, not more than 10 minutes into our round, we were told "i don't care how you hit but you need to hit faster". He drove right next to us for the first hole and watched us for the next three. I am not sure how you think that this is an acceptable to treat your guest. We paid to be able to enjoy our Sunday morning at your course not to be treated rudely and talked down to by your staff. We have both enjoyed your course in the past but after today I am fairly confident that we will not be coming back. I will also do my best to enthusiastically discourage every person that I know who golfs to seek another venue.

Horrible experience. The first room we got smelled horrible. The second had no refrigerator or microwave. They got our food order wrong and never got it right even after complaints. Rice was hard. No DVD player available in the whole hotel. After speaking with management, did not feel any better. They brushed our complaints off about the fridge and microwave saying we didn't book a room with those. Even though the website states those are in everyroom. Not happy with this place. Will never come back. I wldnt suggest this place to anyone unless all they need is a bed. Needs new management, or maybe they should change the name to inelegant.

I have been eating at this place since the early 1990's and I have never been disappointed by the food. It is the Best in town, with great service too! In the warm weather, sitting outside is even better. When ever I have out of town visitors, this is a must restaurant to eat at.

The Compound is my favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. I have been following Chef Kiffin's career for nearly two decades and his approach to the dining experience is to provide consistency without losing innovation. His sesonal menus are fresh and creative with a focus on quality. There is no fluff here. This restaurant is everything you'd expect for a fine dining establishment.

Our ceremony took place at their outside pavilion. Not a particularly attractive site, but we were able to drape the entire pavilion with fabric to change the look to what we desired and the end result was beautiful. Our reception was in the Yucatan ballroom and provided more than enough room for our 120 guests. Everybody at the Pyramid was a joy to work with. They answered all my calls and e-mails almost immediately and always worked with me to get me exactly what I wanted. They set up the room to our exact specifications, and since we rented linens and chairs from an outside company, they set those up for us too so we didn't have to pay the rental company a set-up fee. The food was very good and we received a lot of compliments from our guests throughout the night. We received a complimentary champagne toast and a bridal suite the night of the wedding. The only little complaint that I have about the Pyramid is that we paid for open premium bar for our guests and the brand of alcohol was NOT premium. Maybe I have really high standards, but in my opinion Absolut and Smirnoff isn't a premium brand of vodka. All in all I would highly recommend the Pyramid for a wedding venue.

If you enjoy spending $170 on rustic, country accommodation, this place is for you! After walking across to the Old Town for dinner, we returned to our little cottage (The Ivy) ready to collapse into bed after a long day of travelling and sightseeing. Our exhaustion overcame the hard, cheap bed and we fell into a deep sleep. Until... we were woken at around 1 am by a scratching noise that we attributed to an animal outside our window (we had the windows open for fresh air). We tried to return to sleep but the noise, which was unusually loud, persisted. Eventually we got up to investigate, only to discover inside our cottage a fury friend (citysearch won't let me use the ""m"" word) chewing through one of our backpaks to obtain a muesli bar and some throat lozenges. After moving the food items to the regrigerator and placing all of our possessions on furniture, we attempted to resume sleep, but the scratching noises persisted. We got out of bed another two or three times to investigate and eventually fell asleep again around 3:30 am. This was definitely not a good experience, and not one that you would expect after paying $170 for a room. We informed the desk of the problem and he in turn informed management, who indicated that they'd call me to apologise and arrange to pay for replacement of the mouse-eaten backpack. After we left, I checked the receipt and discovered that my address details had been entered incorrectly and at no time did they ask for my phone number. I'd be pleasantly surprised to see a credit on my credit card. If we had our time over again in Albuquerque, we'd definitely stay on a higher floor at the DoubleTree - our second choice of hotel in the Downtown area.
