Great car repair. They are always upfront with their customers. Cheryl and Russell (the owners) are very knowledgeable and courteous. Their prices are mostly better than their competition. Most jobs are done the same day. It's the repair business you always wished for.

Chase Automotive
Chase Automotive scammed me. They sold me a crappy car that ran hot the first day I got it. Had to beg them to come tow the car when it became inoperable a week later. They get the car back and put it back out for resell. They told me they would resell the car and pay my finance company off. SCAMMERS. The finance company is still coming after me for a car I had less than 2 weeks. Charles Jordan is a crook. He is also the owner . He went out of business under the name Chase Automotive and came back as someone else. This is not acceptable and if there are others who've experienced this please come forward.

Shell Rapid Lube
I just had my oil changed here and I had a great experience. The staff were very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They did my oil change, and they did not find anything extra wrong with my car and try to sell me things I did not need. I will definitely be a repeat customer and continue bringing my cars to them for oil changes.

Russell, the business owner has to be one of the honest and upfront business owners I have spoken with in years. As a business to business investor, it was nice to speak with a business owner who gave you his full attention. I can only imagine how respectful he must treat his own customers...B. Purvis Auto Repair
On the other hand, I have always received honest, fair and professional service from this shop. Pricing is competitive but all auto related charges are high, from everyone. Labor charges come from "the book," regardless of actual time spent on a job. This shop is fair to customers in that regard.

Gieryic's Automotive Repair
Tom and his techs, definitely know their stuff! We took our 50th AE Corvette to him after it had been at the local Dealership 3 weeks with electrical problems. Took him 3 hours to fix the problem and even fix the door panel clips which had been broken and reinstalled panel! Air conditioning in my Business Van...cools sooo cool! He is honest and dependable. Look for the American Flag at Dawson and Whispering Pines!

Miller Automotive
The best mechanic in town for Honda's and Acura's .Miller's is the only shop that works on our cars and we have four honda's and have been with Miller's for at least 10 yrs. He is accurate, efficient, and proffesional. He is highly recommend by myself and all others who uses his service.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
