Love Christian brothers! I come here for everything, as well as my parents. They take their time to really let you know what is going on with your car. They let you know what can and can not wait. I had to come in twice in less then a week and they are so very helpful. One of those days I just could not miss work so Clint their driver not only took me to work but also picked me up and brought me back to the shop when I was done. Clint was so kind and an absolute pleasure to talk to. Chuck and Cory really made sure that I was takin care of and that my car was safe to drive (all due to my own lack in maintenance that I should have taken care of years ago) Thank you Christian Brothers!

Brought my '77 corvette to these folks back in May. AC was not blowing cold air and had a oil leak. Picked the car up a few days later. Paid then $1,250 for new compressor and to fix oil leak. When I went out to my cat the antenna was hanging by a wire. Nobody told me this had happened. Surprise!! When I drove the car home the a/c was still not blowing and the next morning there was oil on my garage floor. Brought it back a second time so they could fix what they didn't the first time. Picked the car up a few days later went to drive it and when I pulled out of the garage there was oil on the garage floor. Turned the a/c on and all the Freon blew out. Brought it back a third time. When I went to pick it up my rear view mirror was in my passenger seat. Just like the antenna, nobody said a word about it. Surprise!! Turned the a/c on during the drive home and still not blowing cool air and this morning I STILL have an oil leak. These guys are a joke. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! Now, I am right back where I started, less $1,250 dollars and a lot of frustration and time.

I went to have a job done here and they completed the job but i am very curious if their diagnosis is what was really wrong with my vehicle. The problem was fixed at a price (high) above other auto repair shops. I utilized this company because of a referral and was satisfied until i attempted to auto lock my doors later in the day. Power door locks, mirrors, remote control and trunk release buttons did not work. I returned on monday and informed them of the situation and their reply was that wires were broken and the repair would be an additional $200 & they wanted to correct it then. I had suspicion that they created a problem for me to return and drain more $$$$ from me and my suspicion was confirmed after driving 70 miles to my old mechanic and he telling me that someone haf removed the fuse. This really ticked me off that this business is doing these illegal activities but finding out some of their previous employers who did the same thing, i see now why they do it. I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you want to dish out money for their destruction of your vehicle. Not cool at all and im getting upset thinking about it. Arghhhhhh

Beware of scam!! They will tell you that something is wrong with your vehicle and that you need new parts for your car. They wanted to charge me over $600 dollars to fix my car because it needed a new part. Of course I didn't buy it at all and they were upset that I turned it down. I took the car to the dealership the next day and they told me that nothing was wrong with my vehicle. The dealership charged me $89 dollars for the diagnostic test and fixed the problem. I just don't understand how people could live with themselves for scamming other out of hard working money. I just wanted you all to know about my experience with Christian Brothers Automotive. Good Luck!!!

I recently decided to try out Christian Brothers in Acworth for the first time based on a recommendation from a friend. I was so thankful that I did. The customer service was superb and they quickly took my car back to replace my front and back breaks. I was finished in just over and hour! I even received a free oil change to use for my next visit.

I recemtly moved to Georgia from California and am enjoying my relationship with Christian Brothers for all my automotive needs. They have been precise about diagnosing vehicle abnormalities, scheduling routine maintanance and have been timely with getting my car back to me the same day. In addition, they have been friendly and were more than happy to take me where I needed to be while my car was getting fixed. Would use them time and time again.

I came in for an alignment, they talked me into an $800 repair to my struts. I got the struts fixed and and 3 miles after I left their location my anti-locking brakes, my traction controls all crashed in my car. I went back and they insisted the computer says that the back tires are riding incorrectly due to wearing wrong when the struts needed replaced. I went next door and paid $300 more to get new tires, and guess what? The problem didn't go away. I went back and this time they believe its the wheel sensor that needs to be replaced. And they want me to pay $350 for that. I'm no auto repair expert but I'm also not a novice. They were working on my wheels and now the systems that control the wheels do not work. DO THE MATH!!!!
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
