General Info
The story of Orchard Hill will not be told through numbers. Each number represents a life. Each life represents an opportunity for new life that moves from a focus on things that are temporary to a life that is focused on things that are eternal. The story will be told in the changed lives of people. During the 1980s, a handful of people made a commitment to look at church from a new perspective. They knew many people thought that God had no relevance. These people invested their lives in developing a contemporary biblical community in the middle of a modern day world - a community that would be relevant in today's culture while teaching the timeless truths of the Bible. These 54 people began to create a new kind of church. On May 6, 1989, over 400 people came to the opening of Orchard Hill Church. The growth of the church was sustained as small groups continued to form and ministries expanded. In the fall of 1997, the current building was opened. In the spring of 2011, an addition resulted in a new Kid's Ministry wing, Gymnasium and Lobby renovation. Today, over 2,500 people call Orchard Hill their church home. A second location is open in the Cultural District of downtown Pittsburgh.

Very excepting as a church; non traditional. Services usually consist of Christian Rock music with a message after relating bible verses to real life or analysis of the Bible scripture. I like it much better than other Christian churches I've been to.

Overall

I was for the 9:30 worship on 5/17/15. I am not the demographic they want. I am over 50, not "spoken for", and working poor. They only want "Brady Bunchers". They had a First Communions for 12 year old kids. A large part of the 12 years will drop-out.
