Gaines County Park Caretaker

Two of us played the Gaines County Golf Club today. It was a pleasant surprise. The price was very good @ $12.50/each, walking 18 holes. I did not expect this to be an 18-hole course ... thought it would be a 9-hole. The course was in very good shape, considering that this is West Texas, not Florida. The greens were in good shape, and the personnel were very pleasant.



We had a nice family in front of us at the first hole, and they were nice enough to wait at the second hole and let us play through (the kids were learning), and we had a group that played through us later .... hard for walking to keep ahead of riding. The encounters were all friendly.



I would play this golf course again and would recommend it. Be advised it closes on Tuesdays, so if it's just gotta be a Tuesday, go somewhere else.

This golf course is amazing. Don't expect to go out to Gaines County and play well if you are not a avid golfer. Gaines county is a very difficult and well managed golf course. WOW!
