Kilwins

Because Kilwin's is well known, it is very touristy. Even a small ice cream was around or upwards of $4. The ice cream was good, but not THAT good. It's also a fudge and candy shop; you can go and watch the fudge being made. It's a cool little place, but it is definitely a tourist trap when it comes to pricing.

Kilwin's is a terrific place to get homemade candy and ice cream.The staff are knowledgable, helpful and courteous. The ice cream comes in a wide variety of flavors, and chock full of fresh fruit. The chocolates and caramels are always varied, fresh and delicious. It is also fun to watch the chocolate masters actually making fudge on one of their marble worktables, then sit outside on a bench and enjoy the wonderful ice cream. We never go to Longboat without at least one stop at Kilwin's. Try it, you'll love it!
