An Experience I recomend!

So it was my birthday not too long ago and my father decided to surprise me by bringing me here, Babouch Restaurant, It was such a great experience for me, it was quite surprising to know that a place that this is located in San Pedro. So just to share a bit of my experience at Babouch, first off they had such delicious food, it definitely had a different flavor from most food I've tried and that is what i liked most about it. It was my first time trying Rabbit and as unusual as it may sound it was delicious. The music, decorations, and entertainment(belly dancers) totally made me feel as if i had just stepped into a completely different part of the world. They provided very friendly customer service & even the palm/tarot card reader even made part of the night even more fun! I am so glad i got to spend my birthday at a place so great. From the food, entertainment, drinks and environment, it was overall fantastic! I would highly recommend Babouch to anyone looking for a good time and unforgettable experience!

Babouch FTW!!

I loved this place! Ive lived in Pedro my whole life and have driven by this place almost everyday. Well I finally went in last Sunday and was totally surprised that a place like this is here in Pedro. Its like walking into a completely different world! It was definitely "dining as an experience", a step by step process. First they bring out this big silver pot and pitcher so you can wash your hands (you will be eating with them), and then they start bringing out the courses, one after another, and all of them were great! Especially the Bastilla which is a kind f chicken pie dusted with powdered sugar. The bellydancer was fantastic too! She came out with this huge gold wing things that really lit up the room. And after the show she came out and did palm readings and since I was a local she gave me a 1 week guest pass to the Pedro YMCA where she teaches bellydance! I wont be taking her class but I hope my girlfriend will =)

I Love Babouch!!

I love this place! Its fun, great for friends, on a date or with family. I came with a group of people. The staff was very friendly. I like how they wash your hands by pouring water as your hand is stretched out.

The food was delicious. I had chicken and it was very tender.

The entertainment was fun! Both male and female dancers belly dancing to the crowd. And they also encourage people to dance with them. Many people did and some people even tipped the customers that was dancing. LOL.

I'll definitely be coming back. It was a fun night and they had some good Moroccan cocktails.

A Really Fun and Friendly Restaurant

I went to Babouch for the first time last Tuesday and had a blast!! It was my friend's birthday, and she chose the place. We both live near San Pedro, and have heard about the restaurant, but never tried it before.

I just loved the decor!! Really unususal. The food was different, but really tasty. And then the belly dancer came. It was the blonde one,the one that is on the front page of their website. She was really engaging, and everybody in the restaurant got up to dance with her. It was a lot of fun!! We also got an amazing tarot card reading. I will be back..

Lady's night good food and fun show

My friends at work took me to Babouch for my birthday on a Friday evening after work. I did not know such place exist. I was empressd by the atmosphir, we sat on comfortable velvet couchs at low wooden enlaid tablles that are beautiful. The waitress rcommended the Maza plater which consisted of many different appettizers like Hummos and fresh backed bread, stuffed grap leaves, Moroccan sausages, spicy beef cigars and spinach spanakopita. We also had some drinks form the bar that were delicious, like pmagranet martini and a drink calld moroccan kiss on the sweet side. A bit later in the evening the show was announced and what a show a man and a woman were derssed in belly dancing cosrums and performed to exotic music. I was asked to participat and I did. It was the most fun I had in a long time. I cnnot wait to take my family and go back to Babouch for more good food and fun.

Amazing Moroccan Dining Experience

Moroccan cuisine has always been a mystery to me as I've never been to Morocco and never have tried any dishes. I'm part of a meetup group and they had a Moroccan event with Belly Dancers and Tarot Card Reading. I wonder what my fortune is. So I decided to attend and see what the Moroccan experience is all about.

Once I entered the front entrance, I felt immediately like I was in Morocco. The decor with various colored drapes and Moroccan castle like curves inside the restaurant, waiters dressed in clothes from the culture adds to that feel. It has 3 large rooms. We were able to reserve a large, more private area that seats over 40 people. Our event had over 40 and it was just the right fit.

Their specials are amazing. We took advantage of their Stimulus Package Special which was only $9.25 and includes dinner and show. WHAT A DEAL!!

They also have a nice bar with many signature cocktails and Moroccan beer.

For dinner, I ordered the special sea bass fish they had that night with Couscous. My friend had Rabbit. Both dishes were tasty. I tried the Moroccan beer as well. Nice and light.

Then on to the belly dancing show. I've never seen belly dancers dance before so I was excited. They had both a male and a female dancer. They were very skilled in their craft and did a great job of getting crowd participation. Many of us got up and actually danced with the dancers.

Tarot Card Reading was available as well. That's a nice treat. I'm sure many would love to know what lies ahead.

Overall, it was a very fun and enjoyable experience. I would definitely come back and bring a group of friends or even my family as there were family there to experience a bit of Morocco.

The best Moroccan food

A friend recommended Babouch for my brother's wedding rehrsal dinner. We had a group of 20. Naturally we went to see the place first and sample the food. We were taken by the ambiance and decor. The manager was very helpful and genrous. He planned the whole evenning for us and the food sampling was delicoius. The evening started with mezza platers of appetizers of hummos and fresh baked moroccan bread, spicy beef cigars, spinach spanakopita, moroccan sausages and dolma stuffed grap leaves. Tasty colorful drinks like moroccan kiss and peach martinis. The dinner consisted of lentil bean soup, Moroccan salad of marinated eggplant, Tomatoes and carrots on a bed of baby greens, bastilla chicken pie wit powered sugar and cinnamon. The main course had lamb with potatoes in garlic saffron sauce, chidken with honey pruns, almonds and sesame seeds and cous cous with mixed vegitables, garbonzos and rasins banqut style. After dinner we were served hot mint tea and moroccan honey pastry.

During the dinner the show was announced and a beautiful dancer emerged amidist exotic music. The dancer's costum had wings like an angel and she was very talanted with her moves. All and all the evenning was beautiful and we took with us wonerful memories to keep. WE will be back.

Fantastic experience

I took my family to Babouch for the first time to try Maoroccan food, did not know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the decore when we first went in exotic tent like atmosphir with tapestries on the walls. We orderd the Babouch feast which consists of a varaiety of different entrees: Lamb, chicken, beef kabob, rabbit and cous cous. the food was very good and tasty. In the middle of the dinner the show was announced and what a show, a man and awoman performed to sultry music and then asked some of us if we like to participat and we did. It was the most fun we had in a long time.Oh I must add the prices were very reasonable for dinner and show. we w ill diffnitly go back for more fun.
