Elena's Mexican Food

The owner was running the cash register. It was not very busy, though it was lunch time. She was unacceptably rude to me and my boyfriend. It was our first time at the restaurant. My boyfriend wanted to wash his hands, so we waited in line and when it was our turn, the owner/cashier asked if she could help us. I said "Yes, oh but can my boyfriend use your restroom?" We had waited in line for 5 minutes. I was holding money in my hand. The woman took one look at us and said, "Customers Only." I am a professional Interior Designer. I was at lunch. I was dressed in a business suit with a briefcase. I can only assume that she acted that way because we are African-Americans dining in an area where there aren't many minorities. It's surprising and sad because not only is the owner female she is also a minority (not African-American). I politely told her how rude she was and I took my order and left. I will never spend another dime at her restaurant. I may stage a protest.
