Rita's Mexican Cocina

Over priced for the slop they serve. Mgr could care less about customer service. Or the fact that their carne gusada is actually nothing but fat and incredibly expensive

Now going under the name of Rita's Mexican Cocina, this is a favorite "hole in the wall." Long lines on Saturdays and Sundays are a given because of the great food. The ambiance is reminiscent of Alamo Cafe, the old Mario's on Durango, and any Mexican cafe in Mexico City. The owner is usually present, sitting customers, which was refreshing and surprising. The only detraction was the long lines to pay at the cashier! I'm OK for waiting in line one time only!

The food and Rita's pleasant personality make it worth it, some times.
