I was very disappointed to say the least. I had visited the little hole in the wall twice, while in STL. Both times the food and service was nice. On my third visit to STL, of course, I went to Playboys. I took my niece who was also visiting from out of town. Also another niece met us at Playboys. In total I spent $60 for food and drinks. We both (the niece that arrived with me) ordered buffalo fish. As my niece started to eat her fish, she pulled it a part to find mostly crispy hollow skin and dark grey fish flesh. We pointed this out to the waitress, who went and got the owner. This is where things really went downhill, the owner was highly intoxicated, accused my niece of eating the food and lying in a loud drunken voice. the owner put her hands in my niece's plate yelling profanity. She then walked away only to come back to the table, all the while my niece and I were in a brief state of shock. the owner continued acting like a drunk and yelling profanity at us. I quickly realized there was no way that I could making sense of a drunk. It was unbelievable!!!!!!!!! I told my nieces to lets go now. The patrons were also shock and a few of them left. Perhaps the owner is accustom to people trying to get a free meal, however, my niece and I were in town to bury her only brother. We had been running around all day, hungry and I recommended Playboys as a nice place to get a good meal. Clearly I made a bad choice. I will never patronize this hole in the wall ever again, BAD FISH, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, and a DRUNK ENDUCED OWNER. STL at it's WORST. Based on my experience, I rate this hole in the wall a negative one star.

This is a nice little hole in the wall. The food is great, worth the trip if you are on the opposite side of town. The fried shrimp dinner is my favorite. Oh by and by very business on the weekends and you can't call orders in on the weekends

Provided by SuperpagesWe enjoyed it. We drove over 30 miles and it was worth everymile. The biggest shrimps in town. Need more parking though. We had to park over a block away.
