Shorty's Pizza & GROWL

Normally, I am not the type of person to give a bad review but in all honesty, this was one of the worst experiences I had ever had at any restaurant. As someone who works the industry, I am completely understanding of most everything but this place was beyond horrible. On Friday evening, around 6:30/7pm, my parents (my mom has been out of town, helping my grandfather who has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer) and I decided to treat ourselves to a yummy dinner. When we arrived, we were told to sit anywhere we liked and we found a table immediately. We waited for about 10-15 minutes before a server gave us menus and another 10-15 minutes before a server even approached us to get our drink order. After finally receiving our drinks, we decided on what we would like to eat and gave our sever the order. After we had already given our order, we were told that the kitchen was severely behind and it would be about 45-60 minutes before we even received our appetizers. We decided to wait, as it would take as long to go somewhere else and then get dinner, so we proceeded with our order. My parents had each ordered two house salads with ranch which were then brought out to them in plastic to-go containers because the kitchen had somehow ran out of bowls. Mind you, during our entire visit, the restaurant was never on a wait nor full. When our appetizer of wings finally arrived, the wings were extremely fatty and undercooked. The service was subpar at best, as our waitress seemed to run at a snail’s pace and had no sense of urgency, which seemed to be common between the entire staff. The pizza arrived not long after the wings. We had ordered a “Patriot” with Pineapple but were given a pizza with a few pieces of Pineapple on a quarter of the slices. The pizza was decent and fed the three of us. Overall, my family and I would highly suggest never eating at this establishment. We wanted to love this place but it fell completely short of our expectations.
