A great place to live. Very well kept property. Love the pool and beautiful gym too. People are friendly and management is organized and helpful. Recommended!

This place was a nightmare to live in. They were nice when we first moved in but after awhile that faded away. Our door never fully closed and we had to call several times for them to come out and look at it. Then when they did, they said they needed to order insulation for it, but they didn't come back. Meanwhile our neighbors smoked in front of the only entrance to the building and though we were on the second floor it came in through the cracks of our door. It took over a year for them to do anything about it and there were several kids and people with health issues including myself who were effected by it. There were also cigarette butts and trash in the storage area closets.
When they finally came out for our door the two maintenance men said that in addition to the way the building was settling the door wasn't properly installed, so there really wasn't much they could do.
In addition to all that madness, the next fall we had two mice (both of which we had to catch) in our one bedroom apartment (again on second floor, who would of thought).
I would never recommend or live there again if I had to do this over again.

Moved in and it was great! Then everything changed. Staff never remembers anything, maintained came to my apartment , said they would be back and was never seen again! They charge fee after fee after fee, from trash wasn't taken out fast enough, to eviction notices less than 24 hours after rent is due. Large breed dogs are welcome so everyone has one. Kids run all over and yell and scream at all hours of the night outside, no security on site. Pay a little more and more somewhere else.

Absolutely worst apartment I have ever experienced. Don't let the looks deserve you. The management staff will be amazingly nice when you tour the facility, you will fall in love with the great location and cheap rent but once you're in everything goes down hill! Our apartment is in such horrible shape. We have mold all over the corners in our bedroom and shower, the roof leaks in the vestibule, AND we're pretty sure our building has a big bed bug infestation! We found bed bugs in our bedroom a few weeks ago. Contacted the office only to have them bluntly state "we've never had this issue before, its your responsibility" REALLY? This building is like 40+ years old and you're telling me never in its history have you EVER had an issue with bed bugs?? We contacted two exterminators one stating that it was unlikely they came from us (no trips in the last few months, no house guests, no new furniture... etc) and the other saying there was no way to guarantee that it was us who brought them in. One even told us that the typical store bough "bug bombs" people use to get rid of them are how they spread in apartment complexes. We had to pay $800 to have the place treated. We told management that they needed to contact the other units and have them checked to stop the infestation and they refused to do so. Why would I pay $800 to get rid of them in my unit if they are just going to come back in a few months!? We told them if they wouldn't check other units then we wanted to buy out our lease. Most places let you do this for 1 month's rent and 30 days notice. Well they need TWO month's rent so like $1200 for our tiny one bedroom apartment. As if all of this wasn't bad enough they went ahead and contacted the property managers of the NEW apartments we are planning on moving too and informed them that we had a "bad bed bug problem" trying to get them to deny our application so we couldn't move. Are you fricken kidding me? The office is full of the most rude, childish, and immature group of people I have ever experienced. Pay the extra $50 a month and move to 3 meadows or Perry's Crossing in town. We are currently speaking with an attorney AND the Wood county health department about the bed bugs and mold which I hear is only worse on the 1st floor units since many of them flood when it rains too much. Cant wait for next month when we can move out and never look back!

BEDBUGS

Are the only thing that comes to mind when trying to describe this complex. When I first moved here I had no issues whatsoever. 2 years later and the place is falling apart. When bed bugs started appearing in my wing Management blamed me even with being a resident for 2 years with no issues previously.

Ahh, good ol' Perry Lake Village... So much to say, yet so little time to say it... Overall they are not what they advertise... in fact they flat out suck... My wife and I have lived there for two years and are only staying because the size of the apartments are big enough to handle all of our furniture. We have complained about a leak in our roof for months now and a leaky faucet for the same period and nothing has been done. Our dish washer went out and it took weeks to fix it and more calls to the office to get the ball rollin.. in fact, we even called Whitehurst Company's headquarters who told us that we need to actually go to Perry Lake's office and (i quote) "babysit them" while they fill out the work order. Once we did that, it got fixed. Our buildings exterior lights went out and the parking lot was pitch black at night. I called numerous times for that(seeing as though I get up so early and had already encountered some very suspicious people hanging around our building) and it took forever for them to fix that as well! Even after I told them that residents safety was at risk!!! The windows are terrible and frequently accrue about an inch of snow INSIDE on the window sill! one would think this is an exageration... don't believe me? move in then... once you are stuck paying these incompetant people way to much to live there you will agree with me. I feel for you "not a ghetto girl" ... though I feel like the crime has subsided a bit lately... heck... they've already stolen everything valuable... whats the point in coming back for more. And oh yeah... bugs... they are abbundant in our apt. huge crickets in the bedrooms and living areas that chirp all night and keep me awake... Spiders that are bigger than i have ever seen before in the wild.. and they are everywhere... think twice... actually don't think... you could find something so much better for the price... enjoy!

Please, for your own good, do not move here! Management consists of a bunch of crooks that will try to get as much money out of you as they can when you move out. My husband and I lived here for 9 months; we were good tenants who always paid rent on time and never caused any problems. However, we soon found out that this place is a joke. Our air conditioning went out and maintainance took several weeks to find the time to come out and fix it...I was about 8 months pregnant at the time and lived upstairs, you can imagine how upset I was. They never fixed our fridge light and never responded to complaints about our neighbor, who smoked pot and played loud music all hours of the nights. Our newborn baby constantly woke up from the noise. Not only this, but the complex is full of crime. Our new motorcycle that we had for 3 weeks was stolen, and the obnoxious kids that always played in the parking lot threw rocks at my dad's car and caused a lot of damage. When we moved out, they withheld our $639 security deposit and tried charging us an extra $600 for "damages to the carpet, painting, and cleaning"! The place was spotless when we moved out...in fact, it was in better condition! They will try to get every penny out of you that they can, and threaten to ruin your credit if you don't pay them asap! We had to take them to court over the whole ordeal, what a mess! They showed the judge pictures of someone else's apartment full of carpet stains, and lied throughout the whole case! They will try to charge you $100 for painting the walls, even if you never touch them! Thankfully, the judge found that this is an unlawful charge...but unfortunately can't stop them from charging everyone else! They are hoping that people will just pay the fees just to avoid the hastle, if and when they do this to you, take them to court! No one is responsible for paying fees that they don't owe. I highly recommend that you stay away from this place, I know countless people that have gone through the same experience as me, and trust me, it will happen to you too!

The people who posted that Perry Lake is awesome either work for Perry lake or are on serious drugs.



The complex is the GHETTO. Late night parties, pot smell, large dogs that poop and pee everywhere, huge spiders, dirty apartments, horrible management…need I go on?



This is skank city. The only thing good is low rent, and you get what you pay for.



Go to Perry Lake about 9:30 p.m. on a Friday night and walk into the hallways. There is no security and anyone can get in. Smell the smoke, hear the hillbilly music blasting.



Then call the Perrysburg Police and ask them how often they are at Perry Lake.



Kids pee on the building and run wild. Dog poop everywhere. Vicious breeds, too.



If you want to live in Hell, Perry Lake is for you!!!!



Two words: WHITE TRASH



Trust me when I say that the good reviews online are staight lies. Thi is SECTION 8, ghettoville. Trash city. Lowlife peopke who party day and night. Filthy!
