After being employed by Kids R Kids Oviedo for just over 30 days, I have a lot to say. First and foremost, the owners (Peter and Sharon Buxbaum) ae AWFUL people. I have never in my life worked for people like this. After you are hired, they will never speak a word to you, unless it is to degrade you. They do not say hello to employees, they do not give ANY positive reinforcement and the overall morale once they arrive- is in the dumps. EVERYONE who works there feels this way. It was so sad to see people treated this way. I did a fantastic job as their ‘cook’. I had meals and snacks prepared on time, I did everything I was asked, but it was never enough. Peter wants a robot slave. Someone who can do 12 hours’ worth of work, in 7 hours. I was degraded DAILY for trivial things- however the parents, staff and children all liked me and saw my worth, so I stayed. I developed relationships with the children; I went out of my way to make them happy and comfortable. I was loved. However that meant nothing to them, and I was still treated poorly. I reluctantly left my position because I no longer wished to be employed by people like this.

For the record- when they say they are serving your child ‘pizza’ for lunch, it’s just a hamburger bun topped with canned ketchup and cheese. They won’t spend money on pizza sauce or crusts, or heaven forbid a frozen pizza. Your grilled cheeses? They get ½ a sandwich which consists of 2 slices of white bread and ONE small piece of American cheese, doused in fake butter oil and baked. You chicken nuggets? Cheap frozen patties that I pulled FEATHERS from when dicing up, on more than one occasion. Your veggies? All served cold straight from the can. Don’t even get me started on safe food practices, temperatures, and refrigeration issues.

Oh and Ernie, the dog? He goes into food servicing areas every day. That’s super sanitary. He has also bitten a child and an employee- I witnessed the latter.

The staff here is a GODSEND. These teachers are angels. I made friends quickly and related to everyone. It was fun to work there with THEM. Sharon and Peter should thank God daily that they have good people in there, running that place day and night, making it the best we could with what we are given. It could be WAY worse; I was someone safe, loved, hardworking, EXTREMELY efficient and organized. If you choose to take your children here, to line their pockets even more, I would think again. Find someone who actually cares for the children and not just their bank account.

Not a disgruntled employee- I am thankful to have escaped- but I do feel parents should be aware of this hidden information. The staff turnover rate is SOOO high. There is a reason. I have pictures and videos of EVERYTHING.

I was a stay at home Mom and nervous about leaving my son in the care of someone else for the first time. Kids 'R' Kids made the transition easy. What helped the most was the live stream cameras in the classroom. Knowing I could check in on my son at anytime was comforting. It is a safe and secure environment and I like that the kids need to be signed in and out everyday. The front office staff are always there to greet you with a smile and are happy to help with any question you might have. The VPK Teachers are some of the nicest people you will meet. Any concerns I had about my son adjusting were dealt with quickly and kindly.Thank you to The owners, office staff and Teachers for providing a safe and friendly environment in which my son loves to go and learn.

Absolutely love the teachers and Directors! When we first chose the school, the cameras in the classroom were a huge selling point. I was eager to see that my boys were loved and cared for each and everyday. After the first few weeks, I honestly never turn the website on unless one of them had a bad morning and I want to check on him.

The toddler teachers love my little one. They have him talking and saying so many words. He has learned all of his classmates names and can "read" to me who each cubby belongs to when we get his special blanket to take home each night. The afternoon teachers are mostly college students and they are so organized. They always know about my son's day, including how he slept and ate throughout the day.

My 3 year old is not as easygoing but has attached to his old and new teachers. He loves being able to go "back" to his old class in the afternoon as the classes combine so the teachers can clean and prepare the room for the next day. He has even tried new foods thanks to Ms. Kelly in the kitchen!

My best experience at Kids R Kids was when my oldest son was taking medicine for an ear infection. I had brought the antibiotics to school with him so he could have his mid-day dose. Each night that week, I remembered to take it home with me but with it being a long week, that rainy Friday night I forgot. After dinner when I realized, I picked up my phone to call the school to see if anyone was there and had a missed call from Ms. Pam saying she realized I forgot the medicine and to call the school as soon as possible. She even waited for me to 7:45 PM (school closed at 7) ON A FRIDAY! You can't find many people like that in today's world that care that much about your kids.

We have found the BEST school!

P.S. My neighbors put their 2nd and 4th grade children in the summer camp this summer and they loved it too. The kids went on field trips everyday and were so excited to tell us where they went!
