Advantage Tire & Auto

I have been to these guys probably 15 times for oil changes, tires on 3 cars, new brakes, transmission fluids, brake fluids and bearings. They have always been super knowledgeable, honest and friendly. They have adjusted prices to be helpful and
removed nails from tires as a courtesy. I went in for a transmission fluid change and they told me to wait, because it was not needed yet. They could have just done it and taken the money. They even stopped what they were doing to inflate big exercise balls that my elementary school daughter volunteered to inflate for her school class without realizing that our pump would not do the job. These guys inflated 5 of them for me just to be nice. No joke. So, when you read bad reviews, understand that anyone can have a bad day. But these guys have really gone above and beyond for me, time after time. I recommend them highly.

This is the first review that I've left in my life, and I hope to help prevent others from going through the same hassle and regret I'm going through. I took my Corvette to Advantage Tire to have the rear tires replaced. Afterwards, I noticed both sides of the car's lower panel was severely damaged. I called them many times and emailed them to request a call back. I was told I needed to speak to a manager who was "never in" and I was never contacted.So, I took a day off and waited over 2 hrs to speak with the manager He looked at the damage, said his technician said he didn't do it and he believes his employee. The manager and technician believe I brought the car there with the damage but neither of them had a suggestion as to what might have caused this damage.I am pursuing legal action. Update 4/26/16: After leaving several reviews online, the general mgr contacted me and had my car fixed by Advantage Tire's body shop at their expense. The body shop did an excellent job.

Advantage tire is the BEST! I have used them many times and have always been impressed with their affordable, prompt and courteous service, but my last experience was truly incredible! As I was leaving for work I noticed that my babysitter's tires were completely balled. Obviously I want both her and my children to be safe, so when I saw this I called Advantage Tires in a panic! The shop was completely slammed when I called, but you would never be able to tell from the service I received from James! He was so patient! I am embarrassed to say this but I didn't really know how to find the size of the tires needed for the car. He could tell I was uncomfortable with it and he said not to worry, just email me a picture of the tire and I can figure it out. After emailing him the picture, he called me immediately and said he didn't have the tires in stock. He could sense how uneasy I was. He told me not to worry he would have the tires couriered in so I wouldn't have to schedule the service for a later date. He said I could bring the car in two hours. We went in at two hours on the dot and the tires we already there. They began working on the car right away! As if that wasn't enough, I ordered four tires and he said I only needed 3. It is very hard to find a place that puts honesty above the almighty buck. I am very grateful to have found one! Thank you Advantage Tire! Your integrity and customer service is much appreciated! I can promise you two things. We will be your customers for life and will recommend you highly to anyone that will listen!!!!

James ( I assume is the owner of Oldsmar Advantage Tire and Auto) lacks customer service skills and has an anger management issue. He represents this company poorly by arguing and raising his voice with customers in the store. For my first visit to this tire shop all was well when dealing with Mike. I then decided I would try this shop for a major repair. When I was quoted over $2000 for a job, I decided to get a second opinion. Low and behold I found James was trying to get me to replace parts that didn't need to be replaced. When I questioned James to work out the discrepancy, he was immediately defensive. He was caught in a lie and busted for being dishonest. Do yourself a favor do your homework on this business and go somewhere else. Read the many other negative reviews and the D- they have on the BBB.

Rip Off!

A friends Serpentine belt came off her Camaro. Followed her to Advantage Tire and Auto in Oldsmar because it was the closest shop. Before they looked at the car they said" the belt tensioner is probably bad".

We left the car there. Soon after they called and said it would cost $280.00 to repair. They said the belt tensioner was frozen and belt needed to be replaced. we called around and found prices for half that.

We told them not to do the repairs, picked up the car and drove to a familiar mechanic's shop.

The second shop said the belt tensioner was ok, showed us how it worked. Replaced belt for $75.00. Car has worked perfect since.

Saved her $205.00. Wow!
