Fix's Unlimited Auto

I called them and asked for a estimate for changing the front brake pads. I was told $68 and if the rotors needed shaving $25. I turned the car in for the brakes to be done. After the brakes are finished i go to pay the bill and it $166. Of course I brought up what he estimated it to be. He said thats what the brake pads themselve cost. If I wanted the price of the pads without labor I wuld have called Autozone not a mechanic or I would have asked for the price of the brake pads not an estimate. Seeing as I was already aware iof the varies cost of the different pads. I knew he had put in the cermic pads (more expensive). I had requested the cheaper pads. So I asked, did you install the higher end pads. He said that he had a hard time finding pads for the car since it was a 2011 and thats all he could find. At no point was a called made before he fixed it to inform me that he couldn't find the cheaper pads. Of course as soon as I got home I called autozone to see if the cheaper pads were really this illusive. Low and behold autozone in Tonawanda has the cheaper pads. I guess if your going to use this guy make sure you have something in writing before he gets a hold of your car. I'm just glad I found out how this guy does business on something minor like brakes. I personally will never go to this guy again.
