Having spent his youth and most of his early adulthood working in restaurants, bars, taverns and banquet facilities, the dream of one day owning his own Bar & Grille was put aside while a flourishing corporate career took him away from Rhode Island. Living and working in the Metro New York, New Jersey area, followed by the greater Philadelphia market, the Mid-Atantic states and Washington DC over the past 20 years, Tom never left the love of food behind and while eating in Restaurants all over the U.S. and Europe he studied what worked and what didnt. Storing all this information on paper and in a mental data bank, the ideas & plans to own a place of his own were gradually coming together. After over 25 years managing businesses upwards of $150 million and hundreds of people, coaching and training thousands of employees on Customer Service, Sales, Managing Personnel, Merchandising and Marketing, it was time to make the dream a reality. After a few years of searching for the right opportunity, the current location presented itself and the rest as they say is now the budding history of Tolentos Ice House Grille. Capitalizing on a dcor that is second to none for a casual upscale restaurant, an L shaped bar that is as beautiful as it is large, a team of Chefs led by son James and a committed service staff that has been trained to provide an unmatched service & value experience for you, the diner, Tolentos Ice House Grille, in our opinion provides the basis for the best moderate priced restaurant in Rhode Island.
