Montgomery Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service

Very helpful. Offered to help finding free or discounted legal assistance (for things I may have qualified for financially, but didn't, like their Modest Means Program). Since I didn't qualify financially, they helped me find an attorney nearby who was very professional and charged a lot less than others had quoted. All of the attorneys they refer you to are members of the Montgomery Bar and need to meet certain criteria and agree to comply with things, like charging no more than $40 for an initial 30-minute consultation (many don't charge at all for Bar Association referrals, depending on the attorney and type of case), having proof of insurance, and in good-standing with the Bar, State Board, etc. They also have a website where you can get free referrals anytime.
