Overall
Do not take your car here!

I took my car in to get a new tire since my last one tore from a pot hole. They told me they couldn't put a patch on a small hole in the side wall of the tire so i had no other option to buy a tire from them. There were only 3 other people there and it took over 2 hours to get the tire put on. Then about a month later that same tire went flat again but they put one of the nuts on so tight that it broke my socket wrench trying to get it off! I have asked other friends if they have ever gone to tireman too and all of them warned me of their low quality service. I will never go to tireman ever again even if My car breaks down in their parking lot!

Overall
They'll rip you off (especially if you're a woman)

I usually go to my hometown mechanic for problems with my vehicle. However, when the coolant light came on and my car was running dangerously hot, I didn't think it would make it the 60 miles back home. So I took it to Tireman on Central. I told them about the coolant light, but also SPECIFICALLY said it was making a rattling noise in front end that got louder as I accelerated (it had been making that noise for a couple of weeks, so I figured I might as well have it checked out while it was there). I left it there and got a call back later in the afternoon saying I needed a new water pump, because my old one was leaking coolant. Completely fine-I legitimately needed a water pump. When I asked about the rattling noise, they told me that the pump would fix that too. Sounds great-go ahead and fix my problems Tireman. I come back to pick it up because they said they were just finishing up (a whole other story that made me an hour and a half late to work, but I won't even go into that). Two hours later I get my car back, start it up aaand.... IT'S STILL MAKING THE RATTLING NOISE. Take it back the next day, and they say "You're engine's going bad, you're gonna need a new one". So you're telling me that trained mechanics didn't HEAR the knocking and think to themselves "Hmmm that doesn't sound right... and oh it doesn't sound ANYTHING like a bad water pump"?

Bottom line: I just put $350 into a car with a bad engine (that I just sold to a family friend who was generous and gave me $300 for), because this place wanted to make money instead of taking care of their customers. I would highly recommend steering clear of this place unless you know your way around a car and can call them out when they're trying to rip you off.
