Georgia Pack & Load Moving & Storage

My problem is that I did not get a binding estimate, thinking that I could trust them, and they took us to the cleaners. GPL gave us 2 estimates to move- one to move the entire contents of our home, and one to move only the items in the conditioned spaces. We selected the second option, but were charged 77% more than the price quoted. Before I accepted their proposal, I asked them what happens if they go over their estimate. They assured me that the president who did the estimate is always on the mark. Additionally their quote to store our items was $320/month. They are charging us $540/month. This monthly charge is even more than their estimate to provide storage for our entire house, which was $480/ month. In order to avoid all of this, I should have required a binding estimate. In the future, I will not go with a company whose quote is non- binding because they can charge you whatever they want. My suggestion would be to only go with companies that provide a binding quote. Maybe GPL will do this, and I just didn't know to ask.

I had a terrible move when I moved in July with another company. When I engaged a moving company for a relative recently, I was very anxious not to make the same mistakes. Pack and Load Movers were very professional, efficient, and very helpful in packing and unpacking. If I ever have to move myself or another family member, GA Pack and Load is the one I most certainly will call.

My husband and I have moved many different timed with the military and in the corporate world. We have NEVER had such a bad move. The packing was awful. We had boxes of glasses that were not wrapped and totally smashed.

We had Coca Cola collectibles that are broken and can not be replaced. There were empty boxes packed. The packers went through my cedar chest and used my son's 30 year old baby blanket to wrap things with. It is ruined.

The crew who moved us in just dumped things where ever they felt like it.

When I called the office I was told to just fill out the paper work. I requested that a supervisor come to our home to see out bad the boxes were packed and how much damage was done. I was again told to just fill out the form and turn in damages.

I would never recommend this company to anyone.

We have moved several times and have used other companies. I hate to say that I would never recommend this company. They were some of the nicest people we have met, but after several months, I am still finding issues with their packing. If I were just going to ask them to move us, I would probably say yes but packing, absolutely not. The movers were incredibly hard workers while the packers' work was very sad.



Most boxes were not packed well. Some glass things were not wrapped, but some plastic things were wrapped. We found a box that had an empty box in the box. I just found candles that were thrown into a bag of draperies along with a decorative tree that was too big for the a heavy plastic storage bag and therefore poked through the plastic bag. Things were broken during the move because the packers did not pack them apropriately. I could have saved some frustration packing myself or hiring a different company to pack us.

Flaky, inexperienced. Very Flaky. They probably write their moves on sticky notes. that is how sloppy they are. they wasted my time

I have moved several times and I had always used another company. This time they were not able to fit me into their schedule due to the Thanksgiving holiday. I found Georgia Pack and Load and saw they had very good reviews. I don't have one complaint whatsoever. I told them from the beginning that I did not wanted to go over 4 hours because of my budget. Since I had moved several times in the past I kind of had an idea how long it would take them to move my things. We went over the house to see the things I wanted them to move first because of the time frame and they started. It took them 3 hours... They saved me one hour!!! I was so pleased. Francisco and Jorge are amazing, they worked non stop, never complained and took very good care of my things. I would recommend this company to everybody. Great service from the person who set my appointment to the movers, the packing and caring of my furniture... Im very pleased. Thank you!

We have moved several times but our last move was by far the best move we have ever had. From the frendly people in their office to the hard working movers everything was first class! The movers were on time and completed the move quickly with no damage to any of our furniture. I hope we don't move again but if we do I know who I will call.

I just wanted to say thanks for a great move and felt writing a review was the best way to express my apreciation. We chose Georgia Pack and Load to move and store our furniture and I am glad we did. The movers were the hardest working guys I have ever seen and could not have been friendlier or more professional. Rusty the crew chief inventoried all of our furniture and even explained and showed us how the inventory worked. I was truly amazed at how everything was wrapped to protect my furniture while being stored. When our furniture was delivered to our new home three months later I could not believe how fast they completed the move. Rusty explained to me that because everything was already wrapped the move out of storage doesnt't take as long. Anyway thanks Georgia Pack and Load for making our move into our new home such a pleasant experience.

Calling Georgia Pack & Load the best movers in the state simply does not do them justice. They were extraordinarily friendly and efficient, from the time I made the reservation, to hugging them at the door when they were finished. Trust me, I've had decent movers, and horrendously bad movers, and GP&L completely changed my faith in finding movers. There was no meandering around wasting time, they carefully wrapped each item of furniture for me, even when I said they didn't have to do all of them. Holly, Calvin, and Anthony told me they "treat other people's things the way they would like their's to be treated." How often do you hear THAT these days?

My mother and brother were both present for the move, and they couldn't believe how great these guys were. Mom wanted to "adopt" them, and my brother isn't the easiest person to get along with, and he had a great time talking to the guys about the upcoming Georgia game, that in itself is a miracle.

I not only highly recommend Georgia Pack & Load to all of my friends and family, but I'll also use them for all my future moves, and I truly look forward to it.

From the first call for information, till the last box was off the truck, Ga. Pack and Load was FIRST RATE! Everyone was friendly,& polite. The price and time estimate Read gave me over the phone proved to be exactly correct! The crew who came to move us were the strongest, hardest working guys I ever saw! They were absolutely amazing! They were worth every penny we paid! If you are considering hiring help for moving, I cannot imagine a better bet than this company! We could not be more pleased! Thank you, Guys!

I CONTACTED THE BBB AND GEORGIA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION AND THEY ALL SAID GOOD THINGS. BUT AFTER I SAW HOW THEY WERE MOVING MY MOM IT WAS TERRIBLE. THEY DRAGGED HER CLOCK, CHARGED FOR WRAPPING PICTURES THAT SHE DID NOT CARE ABOUT, AND TALKED ON THEIR PHONES THE WHOLE TIME. ONE OF THE GUYS TOLD MY MOM IT DID NOT MATTER BECAUSE THEY WORKED FOR A TEMPORARY LABOR SERVICE, BUT THE ADVERTISE FULL TIME EMPLOYEES. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE WE DID

I researched long and hard to find the most reputable and reliable mover I could find in the Atlanta area. After inquiries with the Georgia Public Service Commission and the Better Business Bureau, I was able to locate Georgia Pack and Load.



Not only was the office staff very friendly and knowledgable about the moving business, the movers were very professional and courteous during all aspects of my move. The team was very helpful, hardworking and careful with my furniture.



I now will no longer have to look for a professional moving company. I will definitly use Georgia Pack and Load in the future for any other move that I may have. I will also recommend them to any of my friends who are looking to move.
