X-Rays
Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear medicine is a special method of examination that uses small amounts of radioactive materials called radiopharmaceuticals, to create images of bone, tissue, and organs. It is unique because it reveals both form and function of a targeted area, while other methods only reveal anatomical images.
Mammography
Mammography is an essential step towards early diagnosis of breast cancer. A mammography unit uses x-rays to obtain images of the breast from different angles. This unit exposes only the breast to x-rays and has a device to compress the breast and hold it in position.
Computed Tomography
The CCTA procedure requires an intravenous injection of iodine-containing contrast material ("xray dye"), accompanied by computed tomography (CT) scanning of the heart during a short breath hold. A state-of-the-art high-speed 64-slice CT scanner is required to obtain sharp images, which are computer-processed to provide detailed 3-D pictures of the coronary arteries and other portions of the heart.
Interventional Radiology
Interventional Radiology offers a cutting edge approach to many conditions. This technology has replaced the need for open surgery in many cases. Interventional Radiologists combine the use of state-of-the-art imaging and diagnostic knowledge to target and treat an ever-widening range of conditions.

General Surgery
Minimally Invasive Surgery
Kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive surgery to treat spinal compression fractures. The procedure is used primarily in spinal vertebral bodies that have been weakened by osteoporosis. These fractures typically occur in the thoracic and lumbar spine.
Hysterectomy
Unlike a fully invasive surgery such as hysterectomy in which the uterus is removed, or myomectomy, which is the removal of the fibroids, UFE does not require general anesthesia or cause significant blood loss. Recovery time is also remarkably shortened. Patients who receive the uterine fibroid embolization return to their daily activities three times faster than those who had a more invasive procedure such as hysterectomy.
