Once one of the best barber shops in the Kendall area. I have known the owner personally for years and it hurts me to write this negative review but after so much unprofessionalism and down right horrible customer service I felt I needed to write this review to wake Oliver (the owner) up so he can realize the mediocre business this has become. For those of you who think I'm just some hater writing this to hurt his business I'm not i'm actually trying to help. I have known Oliver for years since we went to high school together and since he used to cut hair at Blade.



This truly was one of the best places to get a haircut when they first opened they offered great service and fast which is surprising for an area in which most barbers always have 3 to 4 people wait times. They offered a signature style of barbering adding a "golden touch" to every cut which basically meant they shaved you with a hot lather shaving cream around the back of your neck once your cut was done.



This was all the past if you walk into Golden Touch now you are met with nothing more than an attitude from the main barbers that stand near the front especially the first barber to the right I believe his name is Chris. This has to be one of the most arrogant people I have ever met and I wouldn't doubt that he and a couple of other guys here are the reason Oliver's barber shop is not the same as a year back. I have personally heard him talking about my hair and my haircut behind my back and making jokes with other barbers that just are not appropriate around customers.



Then there is another barber there named Alex he sits next to this arrogant Chris guy I just spoke about. He is not exactly the friendliest person in the world and honestly after getting my cut with him I decided that I never would step foot inside Golden Touch again. He completely screwed my hair up and made my fade look horrible to the point I had to go to Snipz (a new barbershop in the area) to have them fix the disaster he did. He was so rude to the point that when I asked him to please fix my hair so I can see how the final cut looks he told me to do it myself. I mean come on I'm paying you for a service not so I can do something myself. The whole time I was in the chair he kept stopping to talk to his buddy Chris about what they weekend plans for them were going to consist of. I would have to clear my throat a few times so he could pay attention to me. Once my cut was done he didn't even ask if I needed anything else he literally pulled my cape off and told me to pay at the register. I mean come on I've been coming here for years I think I know that routine! I was so furious I didn't even approach Oliver about it I decided it would be best to report my experience through here so that no one else comes to this shop until it has a major revamp.



On the right side towards the back there are two other barbers Nate and some other guy at the end I forget his name. They are both awesome barbers and I've never had any complaints when I've gotten cut up by them.



In summary this barber shop went from a place where you felt you could go get a higher class haircut to a place you would find in the ghetto in cutler ridge. From the moment you walk in you will be impressed I can't lie about that but once you hear the cursing and trash talking they all do you will want to leave running. This barber shop is a mix of walking into a strip club and a sports bar.



STAY AWAY FROM HERE AND OLIVER WAKE UP AND FIX YOUR BUSINESS!!

Goldentouch is one of a kind in Miami its hard to find a barbershop with attentive,courteous and a professional staff. I suggest everyone try it out the barbers know what they are doing and are always at the top of their game. I am mother and i feel very comfortable bringing my child to get his haircut because they make him laugh and he loves the way he looks when its done. Great place ,great location and always consistent.

really cool barbershop.. at first i didnt know what to expect but as soon as i walked in and saw the lay out of the shop i knew it would be good... they have plasma tvs, reclinable barber chairs, very clean and organized which is very important to me...the barbers are down to earth and you can see that customer service is their number one priority, not to mention really good hair cuts..... i will be returning in a couple weeks for another fresh cut.. thanks golden touch!
