Sharon is admitted in the United States Federal District Courts for the Northern and Western Districts of New York, and is a member of the ABA, NYSBA (Real Estate), Finger Lakes Women's Bar Association and the Tompkins County Bar Association. In addition to practicing law, Sharon previously served as an adjunct professor in Construction Law at Tompkins Cortland Community College. She has also mentored the Dryden High School and Newfield High School Business Law students in preparing for their annual mock trial competition, and served as a judge for the area high schools' business law course mock trial exercise at Cornell University. She also currently volunteers with INHS in its First Time Homebuyer’s Course.
Real Estate Transactions
A significant portion of Sharon's practice is real estate. She represents individuals, businesses and lending institutions such as Alternatives Federal Credit Union, First Niagara Bank, and Elmira Savings Bank in residential and commercial real estate transactions. She is experienced in drafting and negotiating all legal papers necessary for such transactions and is also authorized to write title insurance policies for buyers and their lending institutions.

Disability Discrimination
Sharon has represented employers, unions and employees in various labor and employment matters, including negotiating collective bargaining agreements (on behalf of unions and on behalf of employers), representing parties in grievance procedures, and litigating employment matters. She has represented both employers and employees involving claims of sexual harassment and race, age, gender, or disability discrimination through both the administrative and judicial processes. She has also assisted employers in the preparation and review of human resource policies and procedures, employee handbooks and employment agreements, and has represented employers and unions in connection with union organizing activities.

Before opening her own office, Sharon was a partner at the Ithaca law firm of Thaler & Thaler. Prior to that, Sharon was an associate at the Syracuse law firm of Bond, Schoeneck & King, LLP. Because of her significant experience, Sharon is capable of assisting clients with any legal needs that may arise. Sharon has significant experience in all facets of litigation with an emphasis in real estate and real property-related claims.
