Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
The carpal tunnel is the passageway in the wrist that connects the forearm to the middle compartment of the deep plane of the palm. The tunnel consists of bones and connective tissue. Several tendons and a nerve pass through it. The canal is narrow and when any of the nine long flexor tendons passing through it swells, the narrowing of the canal often results in nerves becoming compressed.

He focuses on spine pain from the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine as well as joint and musculoskeletal ailments utilizing both fluoroscopic and ultrasound techniques.
MRI
CRPS can be diagnosed through a physical exam and an individual’s medical history with an Illinois Pain & Spine Institute physician. A bone scan, x-ray, MRI, or a nervous system test may reveal if a person has complex regional pain syndrome. A series of treatments is usually done to improve the symptoms.
Computed Tomography
After the procedure, the patient may be required to have a CT scan of the spine to further visualize the discs. If there are no complications, the patient is discharged 40 to 60 minutes after the procedure.

The causes of joint pain are varied and range, from a joints perspective, from degenerative and destructive processes such as osteoarthritis and sports injuries to inflammation of tissues surrounding the joints, such as bursitis.
Physical Therapy
A series of peripheral and possibly sympathetic nerve blocks as well as medication can alleviate the pain allowing the patient to tolerate physical therapy for range of motion and desensitization exercises to restore their functional ability and quality of life.
