        I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about. The food and staff are excellent, trust me I know mexican food, I travel to Mexico yearly. Try the fajitas or the chimis. Give them a try there's a reason they close the doors of all other mexican restaurants that try to make a go of it.

        The worst mexican food I've ever had. Wheres the seasoning?

        Everything we ate was bland.From the salsa to the meat.

        No where near a true mexican food experience.

        I attended a conference at Simpson College last week and noticed as we were turning off N. Jefferson that La Casa existed so tried it. And came back a second time, with different friends each time. Everyone enthusiastically agreed that the food was very good (and I even grew up eating good, hand-made Northern California-Mexican food). Chalupa, chile relleno, tamal, flauta, enchilada, taco, salsa rojo and pico de gallo all excellent. A la carte prices, especially, very very reasonable. Not fancy but focus on good food. Nice staff, great service. Please do try it. I would eat there at least once a week, or more, if I lived in Indianola and environs. Lots of choices on the menu that all looked tempting.
