        BLACK FOREST MOTORS was founded as an automotive repair company, specializing in German and Swedish imports, in 1978 by Wolfgang Wahlers. It was originally located at 3701 North Shadeland Ave. in Indianapolis. The business was incorporated in 1982, and moved to a nearby location, at North Shadeland, in 1986.In 1987, BLACK FOREST MOTORS, Inc became an authorized Bosch Service Center, one of only five in the Indianapolis area. Mr. Wahlers named his company after the mountainous district of southwest Germany, an area renowned for its natural beauty and dense dark belt of fir forests. He did this to symbolize the visual and mechanical elegance of the high-precision German and Swedish automobiles we service. The founder has been involved in the business since its inception and continues to be active in its direction.The present facility is a full-scale service center, custom built to accommodate the rapid growth that BLACK FOREST MOTORS underwent in its first decade of operation. The facility has a parts department. It is equipped to handle complete engine and transmission overhauls. Mitchell on Demand and All Data information systems are sophisticated tools matching service needs of high-performance German and Swedish automotive products.BLACK FOREST MOTORS is easily accessed from two Interstate highways, I-70 and I-465. The facility is conveniently located in an attractive commercial area with restaurants and an antique mall.Foreign automobile repair is a specialized market serving select customers, people who take their cars seriously.         My experience with Black Forest Motors :(I took my BMW to BFM after having a small leak in the power steering lines. I dropped the car off on a Sunday evening and on Monday was called and told it needed 17 hundred dollars worth of work. And asked to bring have in to start the work. So I took 9 hundred dollars in and after a week got a call that my car was ready. So I picked it up after driving it about 10 miles all the antifreeze drained out in my banks parking lot and I call BFM they sent a tow truck to pick up the car. So after another week I get a call the car is ready and told they've been driving it to make sure it's right we'll I drove the car about 10-15 miles and I lost power steering and all the fluid drained out. By this time I've lost all trust in this business they offered to send a tow truck but until I consult my attorney I don't want this people touching my car. I will find out what they did or didn't do and I will take ever action I can legally to hold them accountable.
