The most common skin condition for teenagers is acne but there are several other skin conditions that Dr. Ward addresses. Athlete’s foot, skin (body) odor, eczema and cold sores are also common conditions where treatment may be in order.

Annual wellness physicals for teenagers are essential for Dr. Ward to examine adolescent development and address common adolescent concerns like skin conditions. Wellness physicals are more comprehensive than sports physicals.

Ingrown Toenails
An ingrown toenail is a painful condition in which the corner or side of a toenail grows into the soft tissue. There are precautionary ways to prevent infection and discomfort but if pain persists, Dr. Ward may trim or remove the toenail to treat the condition.
