        I want to thank Lowe's for donating a Christmas tree to a 7 year old girl who's mom couldn't afford to buy a tree. Thank you Lowe's for your generosity and saving a child's Christmas.         This is a mixed review. When I called ahead to the paint dept to see if they had what I was looking for, I talked to a gentleman who was helpful. When I went into the store, the woman in paint was rather, ah, course. When I ask what product I would need to do the "crackle" paint finish that they had displayed, she would only tell me why I didn't want to do a crackle finish, how difficult it is, and that it's not durable. I found this rather insulting as I'm pretty sure I'm capable of doing that type of finish. It is not uncommon, being female, to be told in a hardware store why I don't want what I want, but I was pretty disappointed to get this from a woman.
