The Sorensdale Recreation Center offer recreational programs for individuals between the age group of 8 and 21. The center provides educational opportunities for children with developmental disabilities. It organizes outdoor camp site activities at the Lake Chabot Regional Park in California. The Sorensdale Recreation Center conducts nature study, group singing and environmental education activities. The center organizes arts and crafts, nature study, hiking, boating, swimming and camp skills programs. The Sorensdale Recreation Center is funded by the Hayward Area Recreation & Park District, which is an independent district that provides park and recreation services. It is one of the largest districts that serve the needs of more than 250,000 residents in California.
