Shorewood Park Townhomes

Don't believe a word that comes out of the manager's mouth. She raised our rent by over 20% with only giving us a 7 days notice, when we were suppose to have at least a 35 day notice of an increase in rent. We lived @ Shorewood for over 3 years w/ not a single write up & we were NEVER late w/ rent!!. I promise you, you will be disappointed if you decide to rent there. The owner lives out of state and only cares about turning a profit. Once your in, they got you for at least the remainder of the lease. We lived there for over 3 years and were totally treated like crap when this Sherry lady took over. She will act all nice at first, but watch out, she will turn on you in an instant. There are a lot of nice places to live at in Grapevine (and Shorewood Park is NOT one of them), so do your due diligence and look around. If you are interested in this place, talk to some of the other tenants, before you lock youself in. Don't just trust what she says (I mean lies about). I am not angry writing this review, I feel the public has a right to know what goes on in this property if you are looking for a new place to call home. P.S. I had to rate w/ 1 star, this review cannot be submitted w/out one; if up to me, Shorewood would not be worthy of even 1 star.

I have lived here for almost a year and it has been horrible. The location is quiet and the rent is reasonable, but the saying"you get what you pay for" is so true. The manager will make your life miserable. She will not fix anything and is very rude. She makes the rules as she goes, doesn't follow proper procedures and will actually come on your property at her will.

Save your integrity, don't make the mistake that I did.

This is the worst managment I have ever encountered. Here is a list of the problems that my neighbors & I have had while renting here (NONE of these items have been repaired after numerous requests):

1. Dishwasher hasn't worked since move-in

2. Screens torn since move-in

3. ROACH infestation

4. Microwave inoperable

5. Blinds won't close

6. Back door won't lock

7. Windows won't open/shut all the way



The "pool" is filthy, the maintenance staff are very questionable characters, the management hangs up on tennants when they call requesting repairs. Several tennants have contacted the actual owners in California with NO RESPONSE. The owners will not even return phone calls. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!!

I have had nothing but problems with my a/c not working properly and 500.00 a month eletric bills. The manager won't return phone calls when I need help with problems.
