Meadows Apartments

Bay Meadows Friendswood: Moved from out of state - Not what was pictured on their website - Apartments are rundown. Plugins don't work, tile scratched and broken, air conditioner is loud and causes the celling to leak (Maintance came in to drain air conditioner and left blood on the wall, leak continued, office told us it is due to the upstairs neighbor not changing filter - this seems like it will be an on going problem the office will not address), Bathroom toilet and sink rusted, kitchen cabinet shelves are rough unfinished wood (un-wipe able), countertops are some kind of contact paper, temperature settings worn off of oven dial. Apartment was not cleaned. Stove full of grease, major calcium buildup on the kitchen sink (when I removed it, it was on there so long it had corroded the metal on the faucet), vents filled with dust and painted over. Pet owners allow their dogs to relieve themselves in front of patios Also we moved into a 3 bedroom apartment with NO smoke alarms.

Bay Meadows Friendswood: Place was dirty on move-in. Stove full of grease, think all they did was vacuum. White crayon all over patio door, reported to staff, told it was a process to get things done. Yea, me scrubbing for 3 days till it finally came off. Found roaches, office was to spray no one showed up. Place is rundown, don’t expect any upgrades as pictured on website. Such a shame for the location that there has been no upkeep. Staff are friendly, but fail to follow through.

It is difficult to receive action to problems in this complex. I have a newborn and the roach infestation is horrible. I have written my problem to them and have spoke to them on several occasions. No action has been taken because the problem was caused by tenants that were evicted living next to me. Since they did not care for their apartment, the bugs moved in. I was told that a special treatment could not happen because the manager needed to approve it. The bug control company was supposed to come, but they did not show up. I have now found bugs in my newborn's bed. It is disgusting.
