Vaccinations are some of the most safe, reliable and effective tools available to protect your pet from a host of animal diseases and illnesses. They are not one-time injections that protect your pet indefinitely; they must be kept current in order to keep your pet from catching and spreading various illnesses. According to the most recent scientific research regarding pet vaccinations, the level of immunity for viral vaccines is nearly 100% for three years. Thus, pets should receive vaccinations for most viral diseases every three years.

Comprehensive Examination
Appointments: A licensed veterinary technician or veterinary assistant will call you prior to the appointment in order to obtain your pet’s history, symptoms, and other relevant information. Upon arrival, please call the hospital and an animal care attendant or technician assistant will meet you at your vehicle. Please leash your dog, or place your cat in a carrier prior to handing over to the staff member. We will then add a double leash to your pet using one of our leashes. This is important because we do not want to have patients getting away from their owners during this transfer. We ask you to wait in your car while your pet is being seen. The doctor will still fully discuss all physical exam findings and treatment plans prior to treating your pet. The attending veterinary assistant or technician will call you again with prescription instructions and transfer you to the front desk for you to check out over the phone.

Behavioral Disorder Treatment
When many animals are exposed to one another, even if simply by sharing the same air, it is imperative that those staying together are protected from common viruses and intestinal parasites. For this reason, it is necessary that we require all canine patients staying in the hospital, either for boarding, hospitalization, surgery, or a simple drop-off to be current on their rabies, distemper/ parvo, and bordetella vaccines, and have a current negative fecal test. Feline patients staying in the hospital, either for boarding, hospitalization, surgery, or a simple drop-off are required to be current on their rabies and feline distemper vaccine. This policy gives our pet owners peace of mind knowing that the other animals in the hospital are appropriately vaccinated.

Our cat and dog boarding areas are comfortably separated from one another, so even more shy pets will feel safe and sound in their surroundings. Our staff tends to our guests several times throughout the day in order to check up on them and allow them plenty of time to play and stretch to their heart’s content.

Senior Pet Care
Our dog boarding area has ample space and is sure to be comfortable for any canine guest. We have medium and large kennels as well as large and extra large runs to choose from, which will ensure comfort for even the largest dog breeds. All of our guests are housed inside our boarding facility and exercised in our enclosed yard no less than three times a day – even on weekends. We will be happy to house more than one of your pets in the same kennel space for an additional fee, if you prefer. Our animal hospital is happy to accommodate any special needs of younger pets, senior pets and all pets in between.
