        Native Texans, Jim Estill, John Cosby and John Peters, came together and pooled their resources to build a garden center focused on serving Texas gardeners. It started with one store in Richardson. With a focus on customer service and a promise of quality products, the founders searched nationwide for premium products and seeds. Then they forged deep and lasting relationships with local growers to bring fresh, large, premium plants to local gardeners. Two and half decades later the Calloway's founders still play their leadership role in the organization. As the company has grown so has the Calloway's team of dedicated experts. Each customer and every season brings a new chapter and the Calloway's journey continues with a passion to serve and bring beauty to Texas gardens.

        Calloway’s offers a variety of gardening products including: flowering annual and perennial plants, trees, shrubs, vines and interior house plants. The company also sells gardening-related products such as imported pottery, tools, fertilizers, soil amendments, mulch and potting soil. In the fall, Calloway’s has the largest selection of specialty pumpkins, squash and gourds. During the Christmas season, the company sells fresh-cut trees, living trees, premium poinsettias, wreaths and garlands.

        Overall

        I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but came out here because I've been consistently impressed with this location's service and overall "reaching out to be helpful" each time I'm there. While I could buy my plants via a number of places, I choose to support Calloway's because they support local neighborhoods (incl. mine) via their "Yard of the Month" program with local homeowner's associations and that impresses me because I think it shows commitment to the neighborhoods they serve. But...even if you didn't have that in place, it's worth it to purchase from them because of their great service AND employees that can actually advise/help you determine what's best for your yard/garden! I recommend Calloway's simply because it's just a better nursery experience overall...
