In one word incompetent.

Rude customer service, terrible referral department, the billing department has no clue.

The clinics are understaffed by rude office workers and doctors who know little medicine or studied in Dominican Republic, a lot of DO's.

They misdiagnosed apnea as CHF, gave my wife a hysterectomy-she needed a cystocele.

Tried to illegally raise my rates 3 times in a year which took the FL Consumer Affairs Department and the Insurance Commissioner to correct.

3 months after they canceled my plan and even though I never received Obama Care while a member they sent me a fully filled out IRS form 95 in the mail with my complete SOCIAL SECURITY number. I was a victim of identity theft and it took over 9 months to get my IRS return last year but they don't care.

Called to complain, customer service agent was rude, spoke no English and her Spanish was worse

she refused to connect me with her supervisor

I called billing was hung up on me before I could finish a sentence. No good

Tube la equivocation de Afiliarme a este plan. Aunque no puedo decir nada del service porque nunca tube una poliza activa ya q cansele mi poliza 3 dias despues de haberla abierto. Y haberla pagado. Si puedo decir q el service al CLIENTS es lo peor q nadie pueda imaginar deja mucho q decir del plan medico en general. Nadie te sabe decor nada siempre q llamas tienes q comenzar de cero nadie te da una respuesta, la mayoria te deja con la palabra el la voca y simplemente te transfiere (mal educados)con el finalmente te a tienda queda con darte una respuesta (devolverte la llamada) y si esperalos sentados comodamente. Sigo esperando mi rembolso de una poliza q fue candelada el 1 de abril. Poliza I'D 628216 poliza 4899102. Q falta de respect y lo rapido q cobraron . Ni si quiere a mi enemigo le deciaria o recomendaria algo asi.

El peor seguro que existe

Hace 5 meses hicimos el obamacare y nos dieron pmp. Hasta hoy julio 23 b9 h3mos recibido ni tarjeta, ni paquete. Hemos hablados varias veces con diferentes personas y supervisore. Todos prometen que el problema esta resuelto y nada. Seguimos esperando. Si desean buscar la muerte l9 unico que tienen que hacer es afiliarse a este seguro. No le doy ni un cuarto de estrella

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTER, NONE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT NOTHING. ALL THEY CAN DO FOR YOU IS TRANSFER YOUR CALLTO AN EXTENTION THAT WILL RING AND RING UNTIL YOU GET TIRED OF OF IT. TOTALLY NOT PROFESSIONAL, i THINK THAT PEOPLE WHO WORKS THERE HAS NO TRAINING,NO IDEA, NO EDUCATION WHATSOEVER, LOOKS LIKE THEY CAME FROM A COUNTRY WHERE NO ETHICS, MANNERS ,OR COURTESY EVER BEEN DONE IT IS A TOTAL DISASTER. i HAD TO PUT ONE STAR OTHERWISE YP WONT TAKE IT.

Signed up through Obamacare. These guys took my money immediately, and efficiently. When it comes to providing some sort of service for that money, well, things have not been nearly so smooth. It might be fair to say they have been a nightmare. No one answers the phones, as others have noted. Like, they do not ever answer the phones. Not for their customers, not for doctors. Okay, eventually they do answer. It takes an hour or more of rings before someone will pick up, and usually several days of trying. Often, whoever finally answers the phone will be flat out clueless when confronted with the most basic of questions. It took me seven weeks after they started taking my money just to get my little card proving I have coverage. On the card, they assigned me a primary care doctor. It was a pediatrician. I am a 46 year old man. I've been trying to call them to get this rather important little detail cleared up. I've been trying for days now. No one answers the phone. I'm actually starting to be impressed at how bad these guys are. They're dazzling me.

Good luck getting someone on the phone to atleast try to find out what doctor you can go to but they super quick to take your money and send somebody all the way down to your hospital where you are staying to tell you that you have to transfer to a crappy hospital or you will not be covered. I was staying at the hospital nearest to where I live and they made me transfer to another hospital at 2 am because god forbid they have to pay out. Even the nurse said that was messed up of them. I asked the insurance man that came to tell me I had to transfer hospitals if it was because I had Obamacare and he flat-out lied to my face and told me that no other insurance covered that hospital; I then asked the hospital if they take Obamacare through other insurance plans and they said yes. Will be saying good riddance to this insurance company soon and I hope they go out of business for their lack of professionalism and customer servicing. I don't know how they are allowed to be in business.

My experience with this company has been very negative so far. I signed up with them through the Affordable Care Act. They were quick to contact me for payment the first week in January (three weeks before my coverage was due to take affect). I signed up the end of December and still can't get an insurance card from them that has the correct primary care provider information. My plan went into affect on February 1. I had multiple problems being seen by a doctor because this company didn't have my primary care choice selection set up and I had additional problems getting my prescriptions filled. Because of their lack of response, I couldn't see a doctor until halfway into February. They are refusing to refund me for the first few days that I had no access to the services. It has been over two months and still no card for me. Every time I call them, I have to leave my number for them to call me back and that usually takes 3-4 days. I confirmed my primary care choice provider on 4 different occasions and they still sent my card with the incorrect information. I finally spoke with two different people who promised to overnight me a new corrected insurance card but neither one of them followed up or did what they promised. When you call, all you get is a call center that doesn't help anyone. The rep from the call center told me that the Preferred Medical Plan Company doesn't like to deal with the calls so that is why they were hired. It is actually just an answering service they have set up. I couldn't even pay my premium today on the phone. Instead I have to wait for one of their people to call me back. What a joke. They may call me back today since it is for a payment. I find them to be unreliable and irresponsible. I have done everything I can think of to fix this issue. I am now looking to start all over again to reapply on the government website so I can sign up with a different provider. These people return your calls sometimes but they aren't at all helpful. I unfortunately have heard from a lot of doctor offices that they refuse to accept The Preferred Plan insurance because they don't pay on claims.

What a bad service! I paid the initial premium. They sent me a letter saying that they have not received the premium. They even give a due to pay. I call them. I got to talk with an agent. The person promised to call back the next day. He does not call. I try to call other representatives: Mission Impossible. Now I am in a trap. I don't know what to do and no one helps.

I AM GOING TO CONTACT THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF LABOR ON THIS SCAM OF AN INSURANCE COMPANY. DEPLORABLE SERVICE AND LACK OF COMMITMENT TO PROVIDING HEALTH CARE TO THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS. CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES ARE COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT AND HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO ANSWER SIMPLE QUESTIONS LIKE "PLEASE HELP ME FIND AN URGENT CARE CENTER IN MY NETWORK". IT IS WRONG THAT THIS COMPANY HAS THE ABILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FEDERAL MARKETPLACE, OBTAINING NUMEROUS NEW PAYING CUSTOMERS YET CONTINUE TO PROVIDE THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!



DO YOURSELF A FAVOR-DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS INSURANCE UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE WHILE WAITING ON HOLD TO FIND YOU A DOCTOR THAT MAY OR MAY NOT TAKE YOUR PLAN!!!

Crappy Customer service!

They have their business in USA and answer the phone in Spanish. Luckily I know how to speak it. I had called to get some information and all they cared about was signing me up without any information. Name.. address.. email etc etc.

Plus they speak in this horrible (brutt) kind of spanish that even I as a latina was embarrassed of.

My Husband and I own our own business and have two small children. We've been with Preferred Medical Plan for 3 yrs. now. I can honestly say that this is the most affordable insurance with good service. I'm happy I found an Insurance I can afford for my family!

I am in shock with Preferred's...

I am in shock with Preferred's customer "service" (I hesitate to even use that word). I am an applicant and trying to schedule a physical exam to complete the application process has taken me 7 hours, countless phone calls, speaking with 9 different people and I was hung up on twice!! Now this is "simply" the application process...I can not and WILL NOT stick around to find out how awful everything else is. Especially after reading other bad reviews online. Do your research before going with any company...I was recommended to Preferred and am so happy that I did not complete the application process. Now I just have to work on getting my deposit back! What an awful, stressful and time consuming experience. Don't give them your money, it's not worth it!! I'm appalled by how I was treated. HORRIBLE!

I have had health insurance fr...

I have had health insurance from Preferred for over 7 years and was surprised at some of the comments I found here regarding their services. They have always covered my care, including a 3-day hospital stay. They even sent a nurse who made sure the hospital was doing all the right things. I have a limited budget for health insurance and Preferred has been very affordable for me and allowed me to maintain continuous coverage. All I can say to Preferred is thank you!

They are impossible to reach by phone. Waiting up to an hour. Their website is difficult as well. I send emails and they are returned as undeliverable. To anyone out there I would think twice before signing up with them.
