Electrocardiogram
AÂ non-invasive exercise test that examines the cardiopulmonary system as a whole. Exercise testingÂ remains a remarkably versatile tool that provides valuable diagnostic information regarding patientsÂ at risk of cardiovascular or pulmonary disease. Integration of data obtained from pulmonary functionÂ tests (PFTâ€™s), gas exchange analyses (oxygen consumption) and electrocardiogram (ECG) obtained atÂ maximal work rate allows for the ability to differentiate between limiting factors due to the heart, lungs,Â obesity or deconditioning. CPX provides a tremendous amount of information relating to present andÂ future health outcomes.
Immunizations
Wellness is imperative to prevent future illness and discover illness before it advances. Yearly wellness exams are encouraged for men & women. Children should be seen every 10 years to receive the required tetanus boosters. Baby immunizations are given at birth, 2, 4, 6, 12 and 15 months and prior to kindergarten. A lead screen and a CBC are recommended at 9 months of age.

Tonometry is theÂ procedure to determine the intraocular pressure (IOP), the fluid pressure inside the eye. It is an importantÂ test in the evaluation of diabetic patients at risk from glaucoma.

Our technicians and providers determineÂ if there is thickness or plaque in the arterial wall as well as what type of plaque it isâ€”either hard, calcified or soft plaque. Providers use the carotid ultrasound as a preventative screening tool as well as a management tool. We have discoveredÂ heart disease in patients as young asÂ their early twenties and with early, aggressive treatment, we can reverse the disease.
