Bucolo Cold Storage, founded in 1961, supplies apples to the domestic and export markets. The company has its own packaging and storage facilities and owns Air-Ride refrigerated trucks for transportation of the fruit. Its grower base consists of more than 40 growers and it grows apples in more than 4,000-acres of farmland. The varieties of apples grown by the company includes McIntosh, Empire, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Cortland, Crispin, Tydeman Red, Aceymac, Idared, Ginger Gold, Jerseymac, Jonagold, Spartamac and Paulared. Bucolo Cold Storage supplies to grocery chains in Northeast, Southeast and Midwestern states as well as overseas. It is headquartered in Burt, N.Y.
