Mis' Ginny's Inc

I attended Mis' Ginny's as a child and put both of my own children in this center...It is EXCELLENT...I happen to personally know two of the writers of the below reviews...and I feel I must defend the center against these ridiculous accusations..."Amber" has "issues", mentally and emotionally...her adoptive children do as well.The child was scratched accidentally while trying to escape out of the front door.The mother was standing around talking, not paying attention t her children as she picked them up. He began to run out int busy pickup traffic and she did not even notice.A teacher had to grab him to keep him from being run over and killed, due to the mother's carelessness. The other review was written by her friend had not paid chid care fees in two weeks and became angry when her children could not continue to attend for free.Sadly, both of thee problems could have been avoided if he PARENTS had been as watchful and responsible as the CHILD CARE STAFF.FIVE STARS

My children have been going there since September and I pulled them out Monday due to a number of recent injuries; falling out of tree, shelf falling on head, scratch on neck from an adult. The sheriffs office is investigating and is not the first time, they have been called out for child abuse. If your children go there please be careful and if you are considering putting your children there please rethink your decision. The adult supervision is lacking especially outside where the girls do spend a lot of time talking to each other and the teachers really dont care. They have held my son down in time out so he will not move and I tell my kids to tell the teacher if someone hits them and the adults are telling them to hit that kid back or bite (whatever the situation) There are no longer two locations only the one on Parsons. I have contacted the licensing board because I do not want any other children to suffer.

First, you have to be aware that there are two independtly owned and operated Mis' Ginny's in Brandon, one on Lakewood and one on N. Parsons. The one on Lakewood is NOT this one. This is the Parsons location, which has been wonderful for my child, who has attended since age 1. When a staff issue arises, it is addressed, typically with an appropriate termination. If a child hurts another child, the parent is notified and must provide the school with a plan of action to correct and prevent recurrence of the behavior. The curriculum is age-appropriate, food is nutritious, and most of the staff have been with the school the entire time my child has attended. The school has formal activities preparing children for the VPK experience starting at age 3. If I was to change any one thing, it would be for the school to do more activities that encourage parental involvement with the children, although this is unlikely to eliminate the parents who don't want to take time out for their children.

I've never had a problem till i came to miss ginnys my son came home with a bruise on his face from a child with a stick !!!!!!!!! MAYBE if the staff would stop having unimportant girl talk and pay attention to the children in the yard.. i witnessed a child crying for 5 min and the only one who came over was another little girl and over course the teacher and two woman were not paying attention but had alot to say to each other .. I do not blame miss ginny she is actually a very nice woman it is her staff that look like they don't care and you are lucky even if they say hello and goodmorning

this center located on lakewood drive was nasty ! it stunk when i entered... all children were shuffled to the (big room) where i personally observed 6 toddlers at least 10 twos 20- 30 after school kids and ones and twos with one teacher! the children were not advised to wash their hands before eating , when i took my child to wash his hands the toilet was backed up! the staff looked like they just walked off the streets, no one said good morning or even acknowledged me when i arrived! i personally witnessed a teacher jerking a child off his matt to get up when i came in at nap time to pick up my son! needless to say thats when i pulled him out !they are all about how much you pay and not the best interest of your child! this was at the LAKEWOOD DRIVE LOCATION! suppose to be a good one yeah RIGHT! look at there licensing revue @www.myflorida.com/childcare. someone please drop in and shut these MONEY GRUBBGERS down!
