Silver Lake Water & Sewer District

After purchasing my older home in the Silverlake area in South Everett that had been vacant two years - I and my guests found the water was undrinkable. When I called to complain they transferred me to the Water Quality "guy's" voicemail. He returned my call the next day and told me the various things it could be as he had not received similar complaints from my neighbors and what I could do. He cited mold in the faucets which made sense as the house was FULL of mold and it took me months to eradicate it. I couldn't perform the actions he recommended (very low-income senior) I called again six months later and he said he would stop by to do some inspecting. The gentleman was Casey Parks, the Water Quality Supervisor. He came in was very personable and not at all condescending. After looking things over he suggested he use a special soap that was a disinfectant also. He completed that task and voila! after months of hideous water, my water tasted normal! Since then (about 6-weeks now) the water has remained the same - as in good quality water! I can't thank this organization and specifically Mr. Parks, enough, but this is a start!
