Your pet’s dental cleaning involves tools similar to those used by human dentists to remove plaque and polish your pet’s teeth. After that, it’s all about maintenance! We’ll teach you the best ways to care for your pet’s teeth, so they will keep smiling for many years to come.
Vaccination
Any vaccinations due at the time of the annual exam will be given at current participant rates. Patients with health-related concerns will be recommended more advanced diagnostics when needed. More frequent re-evaluations will most-likely become necessary for those pets with ongoing illnesses.

Comprehensive Examination
If your pet is presenting with a condition that is not easily diagnosed by our routine wellness exams, we offer internal medicine services that can help. Internal medicine involves the treatment of conditions of your pet’s internal systems. At Conchester Animal Hospital, we can diagnose and treat these conditions on-site using our diagnostic capabilities. When your pet’s health is in question, you can trust our Boothwyn veterinary team to investigate your pet’s condition until we have an answer for you.
For example, we could run a blood chemistry panel, which screens for conditions like liver disease, kidney disease, and diabetes. A blood chemistry panel will also tell us information about various electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and chloride. This test is a great tool for our veterinary team because it gives a comprehensive look at your pet’s blood.
Periodontal Disease Treatment
Like humans, pets can develop plaque on their teeth. Also, like humans, if your pet’s teeth are not regularly brushed, the plaque can begin to build up and cause problems in your pet’s mouth. This is called periodontal disease. It is the most common disease among cats and dogs.
While the above list is a good example of the types of surgeries we offer at Conchester Animal Hospital, it is by no means complete! If your pet needs another type of surgery, we are happy to discuss with you what your pet needs and what we can offer on site.
Veterinary Surgery
At Conchester Animal Hospital, we are pleased to offer a full suite of surgical services for your pets. From routine surgeries to more specialized surgical care, our Boothwyn veterinarians are trained in the latest surgical techniques to ensure that your pet receives the best treatment we can offer. We do everything we can to ensure that your pet’s surgical experience is as stress-free as possible.
Spaying and Neutering
One of the best things that you can do for your pet’s long-term health is to spay or neuter your pet. By spaying or neutering your pet at a young age, you are giving your pet the gift of a long, healthy, happy life.
Our key to a healthy pet is an emphasis on the annual health examination. Each year when your pet comes in, he or she will receive a comprehensive physical exam and age-appropriate ancillary diagnostics (such as blood pressure screening, parasite tests and blood work) to screen for early signs of disease.
X-Ray
Dental Radiology
Conchester Animal Hospital offers a full surgical suite on-site, which allows us to offer a broad range of dental services for your pet. In addition to a routine dental cleaning or extraction procedure, we offer dental x-rays and root canals, among other dental services.
Older pets might require more frequent dental care. The next time you bring your aging pet in to see us, ask your Boothwyn veterinarian about how you can keep your senior pet’s smile healthy. We’ll give you tips and tricks for making sure your pet enjoys a healthy smile.
