Black Forest Steak House Bellingham

We went here for our 15th anniversary. The hostess was very pleasant...... That's where it ended. Our waiter was most definitely the worst male waiter I've ever had. EVER. Horrible waiter "skills" we ordered cheese sticks for an appetizer, they gross, like the ones you get from the grocery freezer. Frozen garlic bread, Nasty, soggy veggies. The prime rib was half decent. High quality price for very substandard food and service. Don't go there!

What a disappointment ! We ate here once before and it was okay, just okay. The Steak House at Silver Reef was booked, I should have known to go for something else, but NOOOOO I wanted a steak. EVEN though I did desserts for The Steak House at Silver Reef for 2 years. Should have gotten steaks at Carnes, in Bellingham and made them myself at home. Steak was okay, the lobster tail was sub par, waitress apologized the whole time for the delay. The french onion soup was good, I got a to go dessert, (apple strudel) being a baker myself, as soon as I touched it, I know my dogs will LOVE it! No more business from me for any of these locations!! Wait for Steak House at Silver Reef, or make you reservations EARLY!! For $85.00 a person, I could have had a few steaks from Carnes!

I forgot to mention, the garlic mashed potatoes were awful. Very little garlic taste, and they were either made with chicken stock, or fat free milk. When I want garlic mashed, I want LOTS of garlic boiled with the potatoes, and roasted garlic added at the end as well. Whole butter, LOTS of it, and heavy cream. Those potatoes weren't even kissed with garlic. How this owner can keep three locations opened is beyond unbelievable! NOT ONE good review on this site, ouch!

I ordered the salmon and it was awful over cooked and dry and the caesar salad .... the only good thing was the letteuce the dressing is terrible i also had calamari which was actually good and the service was pretty good although alot of mistakes were made but the drinks were good the food is terrible and you couldnt pay me to eat there again at least i had good company

Worst dining experience ever at Jack Niemann's new Black Forest Steakhouse in Blaine WA. Confused wait staff, hour long wait for food, and insulting chef and owner Jack Niemann. My wife’s steak was ordered well done with no pink. It was served bloody. After it was returned a second time under cooked and uneaten, we asked that it be removed from the bill. Instead it was returned by Herr Niemann in styrofoam with insulting comments to my wife that her request for no pink was “outrageous.” The final insult was a comment that “we do not give out free food” when we repeated our request to remove the uneaten and inedible food from the bill. We were all sick to our stomachs by the time we left, either from the owner’s “outrageous” conduct or perhaps the food? A truly horrible dining experience.

We were sitted on the flight path to the kitchen that really ruined the whole evening. when we said somthing to the 200th person to walk by all he said was the place is small.We saw lots of empty tables on our way out. The food was over priced my husband order chicken which he liked ok. I orderd the cordon bleu which looked like prefab out of a box. The potato was cold and the vegtables were mushy. For 55.00 we will not be back.
