This fee covers the added services provided through our practice including direct on-call access to your doctor for urgent care, on-line appointment scheduling, and secure on-line communication with your doctor for non-urgent issues. These benefits are not covered under health insurance policies and cannot be covered or reimbursed by insurers. Cum laude from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, one of the top medical schools in America. While I enjoyed many of the specialized areas of medicine I learned about at Emory, my true passion was for family medicine because of the relationships you build with your patients, the variety of patients you treat, and the chance to make a significant, long-term contribution to a patient’s health. I completed my residency program in family medicine at MAHEC in Asheville, NC, where I also completed additional training in sports medicine. After my residency, I spent five years in private practice in Asheville before relocating to Austin.
