Enclave At Grant Park

I have lived at the Enclave at Grant Park for approximately a year. Overall, this has been an extremely negative experience. The parking enforcement is terribly inconsistent and they HOA will tow your car without notice. With many of their parking restrictions obscure and asinine and the rules and regulations a 65 page document it is difficult to tell what will get you towed. As an example, here are some of the infractions we have been towed for while living at the Enclave: parking too close to the curb, parking too far away from the curb, parking behind the driveway without another car in the driveway, parking in the empty space between townhouses, and parking in the guest parking. The list continues but suffice it to say they will likely be more strict than any other place you find. It has truly proven to be a nightmare as they will preferentially tow your car instead of asking you to simply relocate it. The president of the HOA is as best as I can tell a genuinely terrible person and when confronted about the draconian parking regulations decided to impose another fine of $150 for any infraction he witnessed. Aside from the parking situation, there are a myriad of other issues. The complex is located about 200 yards from section 8 housing and we have had several issues with theft and vandalism. I have personally had my car broken into and packages stolen from my porch. There have been break-ins reported several times since I have lived there and I do not feel safe walking in the surrounding areas after a certain time of night. If I could give a single piece of advice from my time at the Enclave it would be: do not live here.
