Cokers Barbecue

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! I also stumbled on to Cokers by following the aromas down the hall at my office. I have driven by Cokers daily fo a year and live only 5 minutes away. But after that day I stopped. Everything I have tried so far is delicious. Its now a regular stop for lunch and dinner.

I stumbled upon Cokers Barbecue driving down Pioneer Parkway back and forth from work several years ago. I noticed that at lunch time the parking lot was always packed with local police cars -- if there is anything I have learned over the years, it's that cops know barbecue! Confirming my hunch, we stopped in and have been enjoying Cokers for many years now. The dry rubbed pork ribs are fantastic. The sliced beef is perfectly smoked with virtually zero fat. The sausage and the turkey are equally outstanding. Now that Coker's has received its license to sell beer, it is the perfect Texas style BBQ restaurant. There is a sign above the window where the cooks pass the plates ready to be served to the wait staff that reads, "Through this window the best barbecue in the world is served". I have to agree, they might not be far off.
