Shish Palace

Johnny the owner is a wonderful person and goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcomed there. The wait staff are great as well. I was so excited when Shish opened in Taylor next to my work. My family love their food and service keeps us coming back.... I am actually planning my mom's birthday party there because we love it so much!

I was there with a date on 04-09-16 for dinner. We each had a chicken plate with rice. She had lentil soup and water and I had the salad and iced tea.

Pita and garlic dip was excellent.

Great iced tea, unusual flavor I couldn't identify...

She said the lentil soup was ok and she ate about half of it. The chicken she said she didn't like. Mine was very good. The waiter asked her what was wrong and she finally said she wasn't used to the way this restaurant made it. This was BS and I was embarrassed...

She asked the waiter to take it away and bring her hummus and tabbouleh salad...

I have to commend the waiter, I'm sorry I didn't get his name. He was nice and courteous in spite of this unreasonable and BS reason for sending food back. I didn't say anything because I just met her and didn't want her to cause a scene.

I had a very good meal. My date and I parted ways in the parking lot, hopefully never to meet again...

I will be back to the restaurant...
