Rescue the Animals Spca

I live out of town and have been a very pro about this org unitl this week. I have adopted twice from the shelter and donated on several times. In the past I viewed the dogs available went to the shelter fill out the paper work and took the mutts home. I have loved them and they have been very special to me. This week I saw one called three times and found out my adoption papers had been turned down. Why? I think it was because someone decided this dog was special and go to personally selected home. No one even bother to call and tell me. I was the one that had to make the call. Call me and my home unfit is like calling the Pope a unholy man. Most of friends laughed when I told them because it was so unbelieveable. This makes me sad because I can afford to buy and dog I want but I chose to adopt. The message I get is if the people in charge don't know you are only allowed to adopt mutts. Very disappointed in the way I was treated. I will find another shelter to support.
